At the GlastonBeoley Music Festival, at the Redditch Cricket Hockey & Rugby Club, in Redditch, Worcestershire, England, United Kingdom, on Friday 27th of June 2025.
About the photograph.
This is Ro.
She is a performer taking part on stage during the outdoor live music festival.
Ro is a deaf person, but is able to hear by means of cochlear implant, and had taken drama lessons during her childhood. She is capable of performing a song in British Sign Language (BSL).
As the GlastonBeoley Music Festival is one of the few UK festivals that provides BSL interpreters for deaf people during some of the key performances, Ro was taking part in the event for the deaf audience.
The photos were shot in colour with a 50mm lens while close up to the stage. While they were in Adobe Lightroom, they were converted into black and white, then cropped in Adobe Photoshop.

About the photograph.
This is the heavy rock band calling themselves Kalashnikov Skunk.
In the first photo (file: 2025009-0043). There’s Adam on the drums in the background, then you have the lead singer named Andy, and Emma the bass guitar player. The second photo (file: 2025009-0290) shows the guitarist Nige (as spelt on their official website).
The Kalashnikov Skunk is a Kidderminster based covers band, delivering heavy rock songs, and what they describe on their website as ”skunked up pop songs with a heavier twist.”
In the photographs, they were seen playing at GlastonBeoley Music Festival, which is basically a local annual community music festival, raising money for charity, and they have held the event every year since the first one in 2018.
