The cars were all set up like the passengers had just walked away.

The Golden Arrow (Fleche d'Or) Car is a Pullman-type car built in 1929. It has 20 seats and 10 tables, plus two lounging compartments for four people each in the end.

The car was used to serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and as a gathering place during non-meal times.

The glass panels are by René Lalique, and the lamps are by René Prou.

The car was restored in 1987.

While we were in Paris, the Arab World Institute had a exhibition, complete with several train cars, about the Orient Express.

Orient Express hotel on Giudecca Island in Venice, Italy

Finished my design for a Baggage Car for the Orient Express IDEAS set. Based off a train set from REE Models, these cars are slightly smaller than the standard passenger coaches.

In order to navigate R40 curves, the middle wheelset slides using the same functionality as the tender, and the outer wheels rotate on a swivel as well. This functionality is not necessary on R72 and up.

The buffers swivel separately to allow for the steps to be static, and use the design I planned here.

3 magnificent Deluxe Suites. Located in the main building, these luxurious suites feature large king size beds, marble bathrooms and superb sea views.

This large station at Brennero is a relic from the days of border controls between Italy & Austria. It is now an unstaffed halt.

Colori seri! Io sono il colore della luce

Del sole e degli astri

Rappresento la gioia

Lo incalzo’ l’ARANCIONE

Il mio colore per poco che appaia

Rende tutto meraviglioso e stupefacente

In me vedono il silenzio e l’equilibrio
