Het Italiaanse dorp Orgosolo op Sardinië is beroemd om haar muurschilderingen. Verspreid door het stadje vind je zo’n 200 ‘murales’. De meeste van deze muurschilderingen in Orgosolo hebben een politiek, historisch of sociaal thema. Ze vertellen meer over wereldwijde sociale onrechtvaardigheden of roepen op tot onafhankelijkheid van Sardinië. Andere ‘murales’ tonen eenvoudig scènes uit het dagelijkse plattelandsleven.

Il Monte Fumai è uno spettacolare rilievo calcareo, terza vetta più alta del Supramonte di Orgosolo. Con una conformazione che ricorda i tacchi dell’Ogliastra, si erge maestoso a 1316 m. di altitudine, con attorno foreste di leccio e altre specie arboree, oltre a numerose rarità botaniche. Habitat naturale del muflone e di moltissimi altri animali, il suo cielo è solcato dall’aquila reale e dai rapaci tipici del Supramonte, quali sparvieri, gheppi, astori, falchi pellegrini.
Monte Fumai è un luogo di grande fascino, meta di escursionisti ed eccezionale punto panoramico su un vastissimo territorio.
