THE EVOLUTION OF THE LIGHT
The "Macro Mondays" group does one thing and thinks a hundred things....this week's theme is "EVOLUTION" and considering that space in our homes is increasingly scarce, we inevitably tend to throw away old things.
Okay, you could insert a photo of a 35 mm roll of film and an SD card, you could opt for a video cassette combined with a DVD, a toothbrush with an OralB ...etc.etc.
The fact is that they are all not very photogenic and a bit sad.
Finally, the flame of creativity went off and I thought...it may be banal but at least it is bright!!!!
Here is the photo in the competition, I hope the macro fanatic friends like it.

For this project, I chose to take a macro/close-up picture of the bristles on an electric toothbrush head. As I do not have an actual macro lens, I combined my Canon kit lens with +1, +2, +4 diopters and 10x macro filter stacked in addition to a 2.0 teleconverter. This setup allowed for the brush head to be less than an inch from the lens and gave me a very narrow depth of focus making the “in between” white bristles in focus and the outside blue bristles out of focus only a fraction of an inch farther away.
Macro Mondays bathroom theme 2020
One second exposure combined with strobe really makes the poster board pop in color. Vibrance and saturation were actually turned down a notch in Light room.
Exhausted after a night of passion, the toothbrushes cuddle in a post-coital haze and watch the sunrise.
Here are the other shots in the series...
Originally taken for a thread in the group Extraordinarily Ordinary. But seemed fun for MacroMonday's Beauty in the Everyday theme.

This timer came with a new electric toothbrush and times you when brushing your teeth via a bluetooth ( ! ) device.
I must say though that each time I look at it on my bathroom shelf, I can't help but smile myself .

My craziest portrait ever. The net is full of perfect faces, this is the opposite. The modern cave man minutes after waking up.
Ok let yourself free. Tell me the first thing that you come to mind. No limits.

Another articulated lorry in a low-height bridge collision at Trowell, Notts. The samshed trailer spilt much of its load of Oral-B mouthwash onto the road, which since the accident has never smelt so fresh or been so tartar free!
The tractor unit had gone by the time I arrived, and the trailer (which looked fairly new) was hitched up to a recovery wagon, meanwhile, members of Notts County Council highways department and the Police cleared up the mess.
This is the third low-bridge strike I've seen in the fifteen months that I've been travelling through this part of Nottinghamshire.
