Another photo from our camping trip a week ago. We were driving around looking for birds but didn't see any. We saw lots of cattle though! A lot of cattle are allowed to graze in the national forests in this area! How peculiar! I wonder how farmers round them up when they need their cows. I mean, the forests are huge, and the cows are huge....
This is around the Salmon Creek Meadows Campground, by Tiffany Mountain.
Took a walk today with my brother to try out the wide angle on Oracle. This is one of the shots. There'll be more - I just couldn't control myself.

"The Oracle draws inspiration from the dramatic and dynamic hi-energy surf beach that it fronts and continues an exploration of a coastal organic language for towers." - DBI principal architects.
The Oracle is an experimental Mobile Weapon System developed by Nacho Enterprises to use in the fight against Neo Blacktron. It is based on the ESIONE frame (which has been upgraded for better performance) and includes technology that were acquired and traded for from other corporations, such as Mithryl Dlarix. This mech is piloted by the head of Nacho Enterprises, who goes by the name "Twitch". The base ESIONE frame and technology is far superior to standard mass-produced mecha, such as the Versailles III.
Its weapons consist of a beam carbine, sword buster rifle, rail cannons, plasma cannons, CIWS, and beam sabers.

After seeing all my friends snow pictures from the UK and the US it seems pretty pathetic to complain but the rain arrived in California. Not enough to flood the streets but enough to make walking the dogs a pain and meaning I have to drive with the hood up - we need so much more.
Name: Oracle
Type: MIX
Pilot: Magdalen Azalea
Special Ability: 4Sight
Description: While some racers choose to bask in the fame and spotlight that comes from winning races, Magdalen Azalea, pilot of the Oracle, is certainly not one of those. In fact, little is actually known about her past. There are some rumors floating around the MRL's fanbase that she was once involved with criminal underworld that hides in the shadow of the MRL, but nothing is certain. What is certain is that her mecha is extraordinary. The Oracle is agile, fast, and relatively light despite its size. Its real strength lies in its 4Sight ability. The Oracle can deploy four drones while racing to give its pilot an extended aerial view of the track. This allows Magdalen's cybernetic eye to calculate the best path for the Oracle to take depending on track hazards or other racers. 4Sight allows the Oracle to move at high speeds in dangerous situations, and even helps it to dodge attacks from other mechs in the Rumble Races. When the Oracle needs some extra speed, its drones can latch onto its back and give boost.

So, this one was tough to build. It is a lot bigger than I had originally planned, but I really like its silhouette. It has pretty good poseability and its torso is really sturdy. The idea for the 4sight ability came from Aldnoah.Zero's Kataphrakts, specifically the Nilokeras. This MOC is little tricky to balance, but once you find the sweet spot it's not going anywhere. Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks all!
Like my other Power Figures, this is loosely based on African Bochia and Minkisi power figures, sometimes called "nail fetishes" because of the nails and other pieces of metal that are driven into them ritually to release their magical power.
The figure (head, arms, legs, body) is entirely hand-sculpted by me.
Additive material includes acrylic “doll eye” beads hand-painted by me, replica antique doll parts, fishing net, glass beads, rusted nails.

She's a beautiful doll, but her knee joints are really week, so I could only photograph her sitting or on a stand.
Thinking about it, if she cannot stand on her own - she could use a wheelchair.
Now she reminds me of Oracle (Barbara Gordon) after she got shot by the Joker - paralyzed, tied to a chair, but not broken - going on to do things she always did. A strong-minded and strong-wiilled woman.
Back at Oracle's Redwood Shores campus. Oracle has this great pond that reflects all the glass buildings that surrounds it. Not to mention that they have an America's Cup sailboat in this pond.

I'll miss Barbara being the wheelchair-bound computer nerd supporting the front lines from her massive computer network.
