People who draw the bad fortune tie the oracle slip to a tree. Nobody wants to take the bad luck home.
the tied gray(originally white) paper is
a written (printed) oracle of this shrine.
this kind of oracle of japanese shrine (omikuji: おみくじ)is
not taken so seriously, like fortune cookies.
we usually don't like to bring them home,
and tie the paper to some brunches all over the shrine.
Wishing you all a Happy New Years!!! ♥

Oracle is my favorite of the set :) But he has too much stuff on his head.

How's it going bros?
Sorry I haven't been uploading as much, I'm working on multiple figures, and I even started brick-building again. Hopefully I'll be able to upload more in the coming months.
Anyhow, after I made Batgirl, I knew I had to make Oracle. There's not much to her design, but I still like it. I would have posted her sooner, but I had to wait for those bike wheels on her wheelchair to come in the mail. Speaking of wheelchair, if you want to make one for yourself you can watch the tutorial here. The whole figure is 100% hand painted by yours truly. I filled in the space between her legs with clay, then painted it. Other than that, she's pretty simple. I will be visiting this character in the future, but for now there she is. Well, gtg.
Let me know what you think! Drop a fave or a comment, both go a long way! :)
P.S. I was up early this morning working on the is picture, so the editing isn't really the best. XP
Today's story and sketch "by me", I have traveled to nearby Escondido following a group of Beaked Motopian Entrepreneurs who have come seeking wisdom from the Oracle of Escondido. The Oracle as he is known throughout the Galaxy is believed to be at least three hundred years old. No one is sure what planet the the Elder Beer Enthusiast is from, but it is said he has visited every known moon or Planet that has a brewery, and in those years of hitchhiking the Galaxy has become the foremost authority of malted beverages, from Martian Pale Ales to Moon Pilsners and Lagers. The the reason the Motopian's have traveled the last year searching for the Oracle seeking the knowledge and skill to brew the finest beer on Earth. And how this will turn out will have to be a story for another time, until next time taa ta the Rod Blog.

The second I saw this design I fell in love and absolutely had to build it. I hope you all like it as much as I do.
The eyes, antler and spine tips and underbelly are all glow in the dark just like on the original as well.
This shot is based on the scene where Morpheus and his crew go back into the Matrix with Neo to let him see the Oracle, who is busy baking cookies in her apartment...
The Oracle is a guide for the resistance.
It is stated that she is an ally to the cause since the beginning and told Morpheus that he would find "the One", the one who would hail the destruction of the Matrix and free humanity...
I try to make a scene as accurate as I can and I really really wanted to do an Oracle scene...
I know that the headpiece I used looks far too young...
Hopefully Lego will make a headpiece of an elderly lady with a darker skintone. I really need one!!!
Seems I'm on a variations of a theme wagon bender again. I liked the H.I.M so much I decided to try out another one, this time a little more...creepy.
Based in a world of ritual and myth, the Oracle is summoned to give divine prophecies to those who seek them. It speaks without moving its mouth, and sees without eyes. Tethered to a tree, but able to move freely. Has a made up-py sounding mythos cos I literally just came up with this crap.
So let's do away with the fancy talk. The jist of this build is that it is a ritual ground for a being that can see into other worlds, and use this ability to predict the future in its world. It was once a free creature, a being capable of travelling between universes. Until of course someone managed to capture and enslave it, tying it to the universe it currently resides in.
It can only be summoned at night, via a ceremony that must be performed with the utmost care. It emerges from the dark, on the end of a tree branch, twisted and decrepit, and asks what question the summoner wants answered. It then goes into a meditative trance where it combs through universes, seeking an answer. It gives the answer via a story acted out by the black figures in the gold bowls, then retreats back into the darkness, vanished without a trace. Might be related to the Bloodteller from god knows how long ago, who really knows at this point.
Or it can do something and have origins you make up yourself, I dunno.
This was a fun build, got to re-use a few techniques I've used in other builds. Also made a tree which is...well not a first, but it's the first tie I've ever posted a build that includes one. It's a bit shite, but at least it's shrouded in darkness so you can't really tell. Might come back to it to make improvements, but it'll do for now.
That's the lot, be gone with you.

"The tripartite structure of the building strongly reminds the idea of the Underworld. The pilgrims were subjected to three stages of physical and spiritual tests during their long-lasting stay in the dark rooms of the oracle. Through isolation, magical rituals, prayers and invocations, wandering in the dark corridors, having the common faith in the apparition of the dead, and being obliged to follow a special diet, they were appropriately prepared to meet the souls of the dead."

It took me a while to edit this one but I've decided to stop editing and stop overthinking it.

Delphi (/ˈdɛlfaɪ, ˈdɛlfi/; Greek: Δελφοί [ðelˈfi]),[1] formerly also called Pytho (Πυθώ), is famous as the ancient sanctuary that grew rich as the seat of Pythia, the oracle who was consulted about important decisions throughout the ancient classical world. The ancient Greeks considered the centre of the world to be in Delphi, marked by the stone monument known as the omphalos (navel).
