Here is a version of M33, the triangulum galaxy with a hygrogen alpha layer brought by my friend Hugo. You can view my friend work on his Instagram page, thanks to him for his help in this collaboration. We have mostly the same gear, so, making an HaRGB composition wasn't a big deal. Mais uma captura da M27, a nebulosa do haltere. Ela é grande no céu e bem brilhante, podendo ser vista pela ocular do telescópio e até algumas buscadoras como um brilho bem difuso, uma fumaça circular no céu. Capturá-la em imagens não é difícil, sendo um dos meus primeiros alvos quando estava iniciando. Agora fiz nova captura e muito melhor que a anterior. A foto foi tirada a partir de um local bortle 8.

 

Another capture of the M27, the Dumbbell Nebula. It's big in the sky and quite bright. It can be seen in a telescope and even some finderscopes as a circle of grey gas. Capture it is not hard at all, and it was one of my first targets when I was starting at the hoby. Now I made a new one and way better. The picture was taken from a bortle 8 site.

Inspirado pelo @galactic.hunter , eu resolvi tentar o meu mais longo projeto, diretamente de onde moro (bortle 8), em uma galáxia relativamente pouco brilhante, a M90 (NGC 4569 de 9.5 a 10.2 Mag). É possível ver muitas galáxias no lado esquerdo da galáxia ao centro. Foi um projeto que durou quase dois meses, entre vários dias de mau tempo ou de lua, os quais não fotografei. Remover os gradientes de poluição luminosa é bem difícil e acaba trazendo ruído pra foto. Embora tenha dado bastante trabalho, fiquei bem feliz com o resultado e irei com certeza ter mais projetos semelhantes, porque galáxias são simplesmente fantásticas!

 

Inspired by @Galactic.hunter , I did give it a try on my biggest project so far, directly from my house (bortle 8 city), in a galaxy not very bright, the M90 (NGC 4569 in sth between 9.5 and 10.2 Mag). We can see many more galaxies on the left of the main galaxy in the picture. It was a project that took almost two months and many days of bad weather or moonlight, which I couldn't do any pictures. Remove the gradients that I get from the city light polution it's really hard and brings the noise way up. It was not easy, but I'm really glad with the result and I'm definitey doing more projects like this in the future, because galaxies are mind blowing!

Nova captura do aglomerado globular Omega Centauri, NGC 5139. Dessa vez com um balanço de cor, na minha opinião, mais bem feito, já que aglomerados globulares têm estrelas mais velhas e, portanto, mais vermelhas e frias. Fiz mais para testar o corretor de coma, já que é um algo grande que toma todo o sensor da câmera. Precisando mexer ainda na distância do corretor...

Fazia um tempo que não capturava esta nebulosa. A mais brilhante e famosa do céu: Órion e logo abaixo a nebulosa do homem correndo (M42 ou NGC1976 e NGC1977). Captura feita da cidade, bortle 8/9, utilizando filtro Optolong L-Pro. Foi aplicada técnica de HDR para trazer detalhes da nebulosa, porém como todas as exposições foram longas (120s), o núcleo ficou estourado. Eu particularmente gostei do resultado.

 

Has been some time since I captured this nebula. The most bright and famous in the sky: Orion and below it, the running man nebula (M42 or NGC1976 and NGC1977). I took the pictures from the city (bortle 8/9) using an Optolong L-Pro filter. I used the HDR to bring some details of the center of the nebula, but all my exposures were 120s long and this blowed up the core of the nebula. But I liked the result.

Captura da galáxia do Sombrero (M104 / NGC 4594). Feita de um local bortle 8 com filtro Optolong L-Pro. É uma galáxia bem brilhante e também um belo alvo para iniciantes, embora seja bem pequena no céu, exigindo uma grande distância focal para capturar detalhes.

O clima em Brasília me deu 2 dias de céu aberto de presente de Natal, então consegui capturar o cometa atualmente visível, C/2021 A1 Leonard! Fiz várias fotos de 1 minuto, porém como não utilizei guiagem, fiz dithering manual e a falta de um elemento de correção ótica fez com que as estrelas das bordas ficassem duplicadas quando empilhei todas as fotos. Resultado: empilhei apenas 8 frames. Obviamente, a poluição luminosa não ajudou, mas vale o registro. Foi utilizado um filtro L-Pro.

 

The weather in Brasilia gave me two days of clear skies as a Christmas gift, so I manage to capture the C/2021 A1 Leonard comet! I made many exposures of 1 minute, but since I haven't used guiding, I did a manual dithering. I don't have a focal reducer for this telescope, so the stars at the edge of the picture ended up duplicated when stacked. The result: I stacked only 8 frames. The light pollution didn't help at all, but it worth the record. it was used a L-Pro filter.

NGC 55, uma galáxia espiral barrada. Aparenta apenas uma faixa pois a vemos lateralmente, devido nossa posição em sua relação. Localizada na constelação de Sculptor, está a 6,5 milhões de anos luz de distância de nós, tendo grande tamanho aparente no céu. A parte mais brilhante que podemos ver é seu núcleo. NGC 55, it's a barred spiral galaxy. It looks like a bar to us because we see it lateraly. Located at Sculptor constellation, it is about 6,5 million light years away and it has great apparent size in the sky. The brighest part is its core. I really like this object and capture! Minha segunda captura da galáxia Centaurus A, NGC 5128. É uma galáxia bem brilhante, então é um bom alvo mesmo dentro da cidade. Foi a primeira galáxia que capturei em imagem no início do hobby. Acredito ter sido uma das minhas melhores capturas até o momento.

 

My second capture of the Centaurus A, NGC 5128 galaxy. It's a really bright galaxy, so it's a good target even from a city. It was the first galaxy that I captured when I started the hobby. I believe it's one of my best so far.

Segunda captura da nebulosa da borboleta, ou Bug nebula (NGC 6302). A primeira foi feita há +/- 1 ano e tem menos detalhes. É engraçado que, por ter sido feita agora com uma câmera modificada, não aparece verde na nebulosa, como em uma câmera não modificada. Vocês podem ver a captura anterior rolando as fotos da minha galeria do Instagram. Feita de um local bortle 8 com filtro Optolong L-Pro.

 

My second capture of the Bug nebula (NGC 6302). The first one was made about a year ago and it has less detail. It's noticeable that, for being made with a modifyed DSLR, you don't see the green that appeared in the capture made with a stock DSLR. You can see the picture that I'm talking about in my Instagram gallery. The picture was taken from a bortle 8 site with an Optolong L-Pro filter.

Galáxia do Sombreiro (M104). É uma galáxia pequena no céu, porém bastante luminosa. Seu formato lembra um sombreiro. Ela é rodeada por um material escuro e ela está praticamente na posição em que estamos para vê-las.

Meu primeiro registro dessa nebulosa fantástica que é a Tarântula (NGC 2070). É a maior e mais brilhante nebulosa da Grande Núvem de Magalhães. É uma nebulosa tão grande e tão luminosa, que se estivesse dentro da nossa galáxia, seria maior que a lua cheia no céu! Essa captura foi feita toda na cidade (bortle 8) e fiz vários frames usando os filtros Optolong L-Enhance e L-Pro.

 

My first capture of this great nebula, the Tarantula Nebula (NGC 2070). It's the biggest and brightest nebula of the Large Megallanic Cloud. It is so big and bright that if it was in our galaxy, it would be bigger than our full moon in the sky! This capture was made in the city (Bortle 8) and I made some frames using the Optolong L-Enhance filter and others using the L-Pro filter.

Galáxia do Olho Negro (M64 ou NGC4826) é uma galáxia com um núcleo que visualmente se assemelha a um olho. Localizada a cerca de 17 milhões de anos luz da terra, é minha segunda captura deste objeto. Sem dúvida, esta bem mais definida. Um fato curioso desta galáxia é que enquanto o material interno próximo ao núcleo move-se em uma direção, sua parte mais externa move-se na direção contrária, diferente das galáxias comuns em que todo seu material gira ao redor do núcleo na mesma direção. Foto feita em bortle 8 com filtro L-Pro.

 

Black Eye Galaxy (M64 ou NGC4826) it's a galaxy with a core that looks like an eye. Located about 17 million light years away, it's my second picture of this object. Without a question, better and well defined. A curious fact about this galaxy is while all its matter next to the core spin in one direction, its outter region spin in the opposit direction, unlike other galaxies that all matter spin in the same direction around the core. Capture made in a Bortle 8 site, with L-Pro filter.

Nebulosas da Cabeça de Cavalo (IC434) e Nebulosa da Chama (NGC2024). Minha segunda captura dessa região, dessa vez em menor distância focal. A primeira nem está neste insta, pois não gostei muito. Apesar de ter quantidade considerável de ruído, desta segunda gostei da captura e tem bastante informação de h-alpha. Fiz fotos pra esta captura tanto na cidade (Bortle 8), com filtro L-Enhance, quanto em área Bortle 4, o @Bregildo_camping , com filtro L-Pro.

 

Horsehead (IC434) and Flame Nebulae (NGC2024). My second attempt of this region, this time with lower focal lenght. My first capture of this region is not on my instagram, I didn't like it very much. Despite the noise, I liked this capture because it have plenty of H-alpha emissions. I took pictures both in the city (Bortle 8), with the L-Enhance filter, and away from it (Bortle 4) at the @Bregildo_camping , with the L-Pro filter.

Sigo montando meu catálogo de nebulosas planetárias! Essa é a famosa nebulosa do anel (M57). Consegui detalhes surpreendentes dela. Muito feliz com o resultado mesmo em meio a poluição luminosa de um local Bortle 8 e com pouco tempo de exposição!

Uma das nebulosas planetárias mais famosas, se não a mais famosa. Conhecida popularmente como "Olho de Deus", ela é a NGC7293 ou Nebulosa de Helix. Seu formato se assemelha a um olho e ela é relativamente grande no céu. Essa é minha segunda captura desse objeto, já que a primeira ficou estranha, provavelmente por conta do orvalho. Gostei do resultado e vocês? Captura feita em num local Bortle 4, o @Bregildo_Camping e foi utilizado filtro L-Pro.

This is my second attempt of this object. The first one looked weird, probably because of the dew and humidity. I really liked it, what about you? M81-M82 - Bode and Cigar Galaxies

NGC 1055 e NGC 1068 (Messier 77), são duas galáxias espirais, uma barrada e a outra não. Aqui vemos como a posição em relação a nós pode afetar nossa interpretaçao da galáxia. Uma aparenta apenas uma faixa, já que a vemos lateralmente, e a outra aparenta todo seu disco. Localizada na constelação de Cetus. Gostei bastante desses objetos! Bastantes detalhes interessantes. Mais uma nebulosa planetária! Essa é a nebulosa Fantasma de Júpiter (NGC3242). Muito luminosa, foram apenas 16 fotos de 10 segundos! Impressionante como parece um olho, não é mesmo? A estrela central, expele as camadas externas até restar apenas uma anã branca que ilumina os gases ao redor. Assim formam-se os elementos: Carbono, Nitrogênio, Oxigênio e Hélio.

 

Another planetary nebulae! This is the Ghost of Jupiter Nebula (NGC3242). It's really bright. I took only 16 pics of 10 seconds! It looks like an eye, right? The central star expeled its outside layers until remains only the white dwarf that shines the gases. This is how it's formed the elements: Carbon, Nitrogen, Oxigen and helium.
