Stopped by to look at the Trike Project this morning, and what do I find? The boys came up with an alternative seat option, keeping with the spirit of the "Purple Warriors" they fitted the trike with a temporary purple seat.
I'm afraid next, I'll find them pushing the Trike around the school while taking turns riding it like this..........rotflol
I must say, quite ingenious, cause I just sat on the bars of the frame when I was testing out the feel of the trike, they were smarter than I, and actually made a seat!

I've got the background pieced (and the yellow is much brighter than the picture shows -- soft but bright). And now I've got an IKEA bird placeholder and paper subbing in for B) bird on a branch in a tree.

You didn't really seem too enthusiastic about the last pouch, so I decided to start over (at the last minute.. I can get it out in time, I promise!) and with something a bit more simple. I'm using black linen, and I've made Faux Cathedral Squares to adorn your pouch.
It's going to be 6" tall by 10" wide, and I'll give it a bit of extra body so it can stand up on it's own. I sketched up two ideas for the windows, and of course included the 4 windows I made.
So which layout do you like the most, and which windows should I use? I can do a combo of the two, as well as do the pattern the same on the back either mirrored or in the same pattern. I can use just two or all 4, you decide! I do plan on embellishing it with some hand stitching with floss to match.

ok, the Options needles have officially been test driven! Just as I thought--knitting with them is fantastic. (No, I do not get kickbacks from Knit Picks for raving so much about them, I promise!)
I cast on for the Berkshire Pullover from Weekend Knitting, for the husband. I am subbing Sierra (also from KP), a bulky yarn. My favorite feature of the Options needles, the pointy tips, make knitting with this bulky yarn simple. Also, the yarn glides across the needles as well as the cord, so I haven't had any problems at all with these needles...dare I say they're perfect?!
