...drop the anger
lesson #2 in the lifeclass
forgiveness is understanding and accepting that the past cannot be changed, forgiveness is giving up the hope that the past could have been different and moving on from there. It is not saying that what happened was ok, just that it was the past...
there is so much power in this because so often we lose ourselves in wanting the past to be different..we get stuck there... this keeps us from living in the now
it also means that forgiveness is not so much about pardoning another person, but more about empowering yourself.. self love ❤
this is such an oldie outtake from last year's 365
haven't had much time lately, but wanting to participate with y'all
some of my favorite thoughts of the past few days:
when you know better, you do better!
don't hold yourself hostage to who you've been or what you've done...
when you know better and choose to do better, you rise into your best self
take responsibility for the energy you bring to the world..and the energy you allow into your life!
HSS!
thank you dear friends, for your continued support and LoVe xo
very late for MAM...
i got so involved with the Oprah lifeclass last night on TV and online that i didn't post it yesterday..
for anyone interested in spirituality-
the 1st show was about ego- how to see the difference between your true self and the ego self.. anyway.. probably another reason why i didn't post.. i do hold so much of my self value on what other people think of me.. and the "who" that i think i am does have very much to do with the outer shell, and how other people judge me.. but really how i feel about myself based on what other people think. i know that self love should be derived from the soul.. from the goodness that is inside.. and from the connection to the divine..
i also realized that i make so many of my decisions from fear... something i need to work on..
so excited for this new series on the OWN network.. it's a class on awareness, with amazing real life stories and advice.. about opening your heart and becoming more conscious of one's own spirit.. and the spirit of others, the way we are all connected ;-)
it's on every week night at 8pm est.. followed by a live chat on facebook..
i highly recommend it to anyone who desires more out of life.. the best thing is it doesn't matter what your religious beliefs are..it's all inclusive and doesn't require that you drop your belief system.
peace
if only we could all live authentically...follow our passions from childhood, and become the people who we are meant to be...
EVERYBODY HAS A CALLING
it seems my son's has to do with trucks and cars and vehicles of every kind...
been busy with life and of course the lifeclass.. thank you everyone for your kind comments..if you care to listen anymore, i am happy to share more of the class:
so many incredible lessons last week to talk about, but i will have to sum it all up
#3 is- WE BECOME WHAT WE BELIEVE WE WILL BECOME..
this is no secret.. many masters have talked about this ..the Buddha talks about this in the Dhammapada.. "We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, We make our world."
the wake up message- pay attention to your thoughts!!! what we experience is a direct result of our beliefs..concious or unconscious
lesson #4- THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREEEEE!
oh how i know this one all too well.. if you are hiding any aspect of who you truly are, you cannot live a full and authentic life
lesson #5 JOY RISING
it is in giving that we truly recieve... nothing better than giving another joy.. JOY is Godly.. ;-) service ..service ..service ..it's true... nothing in life will give you more good feelings or satisfaction other than the feeling you get from helping others..from changing the lives of others.. motherhood & fatherhood falls into this catagory by the way ;-) that is...if you are consciously parenting
lesson #6 is EVERYBODY HAS A CALLING..be who you are meant to be...
not that you have to save the world, or make tremendous amounts of money at your calling but that you at least get to express what you are truly passionate about in some way in your life..and through your joy you will effect the world-- whether it manifests through your work, as a volunteer opportunity, or as a joyful hobby ( hello fellow flickr friends) FOLLOW YOUR BLISS!!!!!
and tonight was
#7 AGING BEAUTIFULLY
as i grow older..been thinking about this one more and more lately.. i have admitted before how much of my self worth comes from my appearance, and i know how i need to work on this... because beauty fades... but if you cultivate your inner beauty.. your heart... the true you... you can shine on..and keep shining in different and more important ways
❤
