This morning's sunrise,now that our wet season is drawing near, one now has the oppurtunity to capture some rays at any time of the day.

I always knew I wanted my first trip to be to Africa, and I chose Ghana because I have friends in Ghana and would love to help people in their country".

I picked Riverbank State Park for my vantage point and was rewarded with three close flyby oppurtunity and the Shuttle turned on final approach to JFK right over my head. I was jumping and shouting like and 8 Year old: IT FLEW OVER MY HOUSE!

Beautiful Silver Hawk mare, winner and stakes placed multiple producer. She is 1/2 to Kentucky Derby winner Little ET. In foal early to very productive and leading sire Oliver's Twist. This mare is gorgeous and is a producer and has excellent foals with size and confirmation. She has two current runners and winners and a two year old filly just starting. An oppurtunity to own a beautiful classic Thoroughbred mare in foal to a graded stakes winner and leading sire.

I took this oppurtunity when by chance on a visit to Beaumaris Castle I spotted the shadows of some people up on the battlements waving to someone else outside the castle. I had to hurry and take the shot before the moment passed.

Scrambled up the mountain side, taking the oppurtunity of a good weather window. One pass of a pair of F15's and it was all over. A lot of effort, but it was worth it.

Picked a bad tree ta spend the day in. Couldn't resist a macro oppurtunity, so up I went. After a few pics I noticed he was shaking real bad and thats when I noticed the nasty gashes on his left side hand and foot, poor lil guy got into it with something recently so I let him be with the admonition ta find a better tree ta crash in the future.
Drive to Dandabah in the Bunya Mountains and park in the picnic area. The walking tracks can be easily accessed through the picnic area
Take the route signposted for Festoon Falls. The falls will soon be heard and seen. The falls offer a wonderful photo oppurtunity.
Continue on this track to Pine Gorge Lookout, Tim Shea Falls and the Hollow Strangler Fig Tree. It is a 4km circuit track (easy to moderate)
As much as i hate to see caged animals, it is really great to have to oppurtunity to take photos of them. I love animals and i never get tired of snapping photos of them..they are truly magnificent!
I snuck up to the Poland st. wharf to take some shots one afternoon. I've taken a lot of shots up here and don't usually bother anyone. For some reason though, this seagull (i think it's a seagull) took a particular dislike to me.
I noticed this guy as soon as i got there. There were a lot of seagulls flying around, but this guy was bigger. He must not have noticed me at first, but after a few minutes i caught him flying my way out of the corner of my eye. "Great," i thought, "this will be an oppurtunity to shoot a few of this guy". He cooperated a first, flying in wide circles around me in what i thought was a curious manner.
Things soon became sinister in seagull land howerer. I'm not sure what set it off, but this bastard started dive bombing my ass. The first time he came at me, he took me by surprise and i didn't really realize what was going on. When i turned to face him as he came around, the horrible truth dawned on me. This damn thing is trying to kill me.
I did what any startled cat with a camera would do, i ducked and used the camera as a shield. I did a good amount of whimpering and cursing as well.
After about 4 passes and me ducking and jiving my way outta his turf, mutant seagull turned and left me alone. This might all be funny if not for the fact i was attacked by a mockingbird in the same neighborhood a few days earlier (seriously, i have photos of that agressor too).

On the way to go back home from the office yesterday, I have the oppurtunity to snap this photo. It was so beautiful. Park my car, get my camera and click click click. So many pictures that I took just to get the right one.
Lag baomer is a holiday where people light up fires. As always an excellent oppurtunity for my camera and myself to do some photo shooting :-)

I had been looking out the windows on the other side of the train when I realized what an amazing shot was lining up "IF" I could have caught it a split second sooner before The Shard moved out of view behind the bigger building. Coulda woulda shoulda... oh well.
