live at the Alte Hackerei Karlsruhe. It was one of those magical moments: great venue, friendly people, cool bands with even more friendly and openminded and hearted musicians. Don't from Portland were delivering a real cool show full of great punk tunes with hints of all your favourite bands from the late 70ies, a drummer playing like a young god, guitar powerchords and four string righteousness spiced with the vocals of one of the best punk chanteuses since Blondie, Siouxie, Joan Jett and Penelope Houston. To cut a long story short: Smashing. A band finishing its set with two great covers of Window Shop for Love and Getting the Fear can't be wrong.
Yes, I know there's a bit of someone else in the shot. Some of these gals are just so damned popular, it's hard to get in close and I'm just not that bold to shove my way in for a close up.

vulkåi produly presents a documentary film "Keep The Change" by Danijel Šivinjski about the young openminded entrepreneurial idea, the "Culture Exchange". The aim is to share the “quirkiness” of their story, thus the film shows facts about the "Culture Exchange" team, their work at the Café, in the Bike Kitchen, as well as their life in Novi Sad, their missions, beliefs, and personal values. The revealed fragments present ideas as part of a context, having different meanings for different people.
Although the film is still in post-production and it will be completely finished after probably most of the members of the "Culture Exchange" will already be deported from Serbia, so we prepared a special version of the film just for this projection to give them a voice before they leave.
