American Airlines (AA) - Boeing 757-223(WL) - N174AA (c/n 31308/998) - oneworld
Delivered to American in February 2002, this aircraft was recently given a special "Oneworld" livery in November 2009.
As Guinea Bissau held historic elections to restore democracy in early 2014, OneWorld and GOSCE (the Group of Civil Society Organisations for the Elections) organised a real-time citizen monitoring effort to support the democratic process.
Some 400 specially trained "citizen monitors" reported on what was happening in their neighbourhoods by sending coded SMS messages to a "Situation Room" set up by OneWorld in the capital, Bissau.
The monitors were reporting from campaign rallies, civic education activities, and monitoring media coverage of the campaign during the pre-electoral period. On Election Day they were reporting on the general climate around polling stations and looking out for acts of violence, suspected fraud or corruption, and any interruptions of the voting process.
All the information was decoded, verified automatically and published online at www.bissauvote.com.

There are so many wires on the utility polls in Thailand, especially in Bangkok. Where do all those wires go?
It wouldn't be a show at One World without a time-lapse of us hanging said show. Approximately 1,550 frames, one every three seconds. With Bill, and Miriam from One World.
I also like how I was putting the title cards to the left on the small wall until I got near the end and recognized the little switch plate that was in my way. So we moved everything to the right... We're clever like that.

On Friday night I got to photograph the season opener for OneWorld Roller Derby. It was my first time photographing in a gymnasium, and I must admit that I kind of like it. Bright overhead lights. Plenty of space to move around. Shiny floors for lots of bounce light and cool lighting effects. I didn't need any additional lighting, since it was so bright, but I set up a couple of flashes anyway to play around with some more creative images. I think this one turned out pretty well.
