El 1 de septiembre Iberia se integra plenamente en la alianza oneworld, la mayor del mundo, en la que participan American Airlines, British Airways, Air Lingus, Lan, Cathay Pacific, Finnair, Qantas e Iberia. Todas juntas llegan a cerca de 600 destinos; otra forma de decirlo: un vuelo de la alianza despega o aterriza en algún aeropuerto del mundo cada cinco segundos.
