This was the shot I got today that best fit my mood. It's not a particularly great shot, but since I'm embracing my inner artist, I'm going to stick with my gut and go with it even if nobody else likes it. :-D
the way the light was hitting me in this reflection totally intrigued me here - I love the play of it all around the barely-focused subject. I needed something different today. this was it.

i had fun at the video store looking for this movie to take this photo. i thought about it all morning and i'm happy with how it turned out. it was also funny to see the guys face in the store when we left emptyhanded. Week 48 One Word: Aftermath
The other night I was unnecessarily accosted and given a black eye for doling out free giraffe hugs to the public as they went about their Christmas/holiday shopping.
This assault came from someone who I thought was a good friend. Unbeknownst to me he had recorded the beating to use as his own 52 week submission www.flickr.com/photos/47973514@N06/11270498256/
Not one to take such an act of aggression lightly, I set out on a mission fueled by rage.... "revenge will be mine" I muttered to myself as I searched the woodland areas for my newly acquired foe.
Just as the night was drawing to a close and I'd all but given up hope, I spotted Kyle Marshall bounding out of the woods, dressed up like Rudolph the Red nosed reindeer. I immediately threw on my high beams and hit the accelerator. Like a typical frightful deer I caught him frozen in my headlights as my truck gained speed and the distance between us closed....
with a gratifying thud his body flew up over the hood and connected perfectly with my windshield.
I laughed hysterically as his now limp body flew out in front of my truck and came to a rest in the middle of the road.
That will teach you Mr. Kyle Marshall.
Don't fuck with a free hug wielding giraffe sir, it's not nice.
