You know what's funny.. I am helping my husband to loose weight and in the process hoping to loose about 15 pounds myself. Since starting this "diet" I have been taking ALOT of food pictures.. I'm sure you've noticed, lol. Torturing myself perhaps!!!

Actually we are both finding it easy. We started two weeks ago today and my husband has lost 10 pounds and I have lost 5. I have been focusing on smaller portions, writing down what we eat and eating more fruits and veggies.

there's so much hope in having a baby, in the smiles, the cute, the laughter, but when you hit toddlerhood, you have to stop and breathe to remember the hope is still there on the other side of it all.

i've been realizing very clearly lately something I've known for a while in the back of my mind: my daughter is a high-need child, the kind of child who is like a wild filly, needing to be gentled, to be safe, to know she is loved more than she needs limitations. she is like her mother, sensitive, strong-willed, very passionate.

this weekend, I've been trying to breathe, trying to remember who I am and why I love, taking a moment to look ahead to what is beyond this moment when I just can't fix everything at once.

(I've got a TON of comments to return, and a crazy, crazy week before another wedding on Saturday! Please forgive me if I don't get back right away!)

but even the weeds carried hope with them, blossoms and wildflower beauty and seeds for what could be tomorrow. they just didn't know it, so she took a picture to show them. and she never mowed her lawn anyway.
