24 June 14. It would be hard to pick a worse time to move house: WH not well and visitors coming. We never thought it would take so long when we started the process. I took the mirror to the local auction house. The lamp is really our son's and will go to his house. The settee is sadly destined for the tip - no fire tags.
I am still waiting on the answers, they seem to be coming in very tiny stages much like the blossoms of this little orchid. This is one of the smallest orchids that blooms. This bloom would only measure about a centimeter at the longest point.

You believe and you doubt
You're confused, you got it all figured out
Everything that you always wished for
Could be yours, should be yours, would be yours
When you can't wait any longer
But there's no end in sight
when you need to find the strength
It's your faith that makes you stronger
The only way you get there
Is one step at a time

Calvary Cemetery, a Roman Catholic cemetery in Cincinnati, Ohio, contained 13 acres of ground. It was opened in 1865 by the Catholic Calvary Cemetery Association, consisting of members of St. Francis De Sales Church. The first burial was that of an infant, Catherina Hoffstedde, in 1865.

I was pondering yesterday's journal pages and the underlying theme that most of my journals have had to them (finding a more fulfilling career, more time for art/creativity) and one of my favourite quotes popped into my head ("Take the first step in faith. You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step." Martin Luther Kind Jr.) and I was reminded that every journey starts with one step. I grabbed my versa mark stamp pad and inked up my entire left foot and stepped right onto my journal page. I covered the whole page with gold embossing powder and heated it up. I painted around my foot with blue acrylic paint, added the quote and my personal message down at the bottom. Very simple, very profound, very groovy! This is also the last page in my journal. Tomorrow I get to move on to a brand new journal!!! How exciting is that???

I believe this is a grandson and father giving their grandfather and father (respectively) a helping hand down the street.
Something about this scene really moved me. It reminded me of what family is really about.
I felt compassion for the grandfather as walking seemed to be a bit of a struggle for him, but in the end he was in good hands. This scene was a reminder to me that although I seldom see it anymore, there is a little hope for humanity yet.

"You wanna show the world, but no one knows your name yet
Wonder when and where and how you're gonna make it
You know you can if you get the chance
In your face as the door keeps slamming
Now you're feeling more and more frustrated
And you're getting all kind of impatient waiting"

Inger www.flickr.com/photos/ingermaaike2/5011912083/ took me on so many gorgeous walks. On average, we walked about 2 hours a day. She was patient with me as I sometimes rested as we walked up steep hills. When the hiking got tough, I kept in mind that all I needed to do was "take one step at a time". That is a great mantra for living life!
A distinct oddity in the Clone discography - the lone single by Akron tunesmith John Rader! For our money the most interesting stuff to come from any underground scene are the acts or artists who are influenced by another bigger underground act. The Index is the poor mans Byrds or The Clap is the B-team Rolling Stones etc - to our ears Raders clearly coming from a pre-new wave / power pop background mining the sonic territory excavated by folks like The Raspberries or The Scruffs and even Milk n Cookies or The Quick but without the sophistication of any of those groups. We dont mean that as a slam just that a top-notch producer or studio time may have not been in the budget but therein lies the charm of a release like this. A guy from Akron trying his best to sound like Eric Carmen and failing in the most glorious and awesome way imaginable! The A-side One Step At A Time is the soft-rockin ballad while the flip Get You Back kicks out the jams on the punkier side of New Wave. Presented in a sweet 2-color silkscreened sleeve with a pic showing the sensitive side of Rader posing on the front. Did we mention that this is OG deadstock from the Seventies? Grab this while the gettins good - this is definitely coming soon to a powerpop comp near you! From Permanent Records. ---A side - A very strange wave ballad. B side is ok - A kind of midtempo Power Pop - from Akron/Ohio.-WiKi
