It's the rainbow everyone is after, but in black with a Special Edition Blue Button but it is all the rainbow plastic goodness you remember from the original OneStep.

Polaroid Onestep Express, Impossible testfilm PX680 - V4B (shot outside in the shade, lightwheel neutral, temp 100 degrees)
My SX-70 Sonar stopped working. Well, the nifty sonar auto focus did anyway, manual focus works fine.
I thought it would be a simple fix, and opened up the housing. Nothing looks wrong mechanically, so I guess it's the electronics.
This is 1970's electronics (just look at the big hunk of a motor), but still way beyond me. Fortunately, I know how to check for simple things like cold solder joints and all that electrojigglyjumbobooga stuff. Yeah!
Polaroid SX70 OneStep with Impossible PX100 Cool film.
Scanned today. Just over a week later and there is a noticeable sepia tint creeping in. I've kept these in the polaroid box in my home office but haven't taken any other measures to protect them. Be interested to know if others are finding the tones shifting as well. By comparison the colour shots I've taken have been stored in the same conditions with very little (if any) noticeable shift in colour.
2 x Polaroid OneStep Express, (my last pack of) Polaroid 600 film, vaseline on lens, stained in coffee
My mum had this old Polaroid of me in a stash of old photos she had. I'd never seen it before until we went through them together, and I knew I had to scan this in for myself. :D
Onestep/1000 + SX-70 taken sometime in 1980 or 81. Day four submission for Polaroid Week 2013.
Polaroid OneStep Express
Impossible PX600 Silver Shade film
Subject: Blue Delphinium.
Outdoors, shot directly into empty film box. Grabbed it too tight though. Weird marks in centre and centre-bottom correspond to fingerprints on the back.
We went all the way to Paris to look at Zlatan but he wasn't there... Damn... Life time opportunity down the drain because of injury.

1981 Polaroid Time-Zero OneStep
Polaroid Originals instant color film.
I bought a couple new cameras a few weeks ago, and just now the light in Portland is getting good right when I get out of work. And we have this awesome picnic table as a dining room table... it just makes black and silver cameras look great. :)
The tops of this black/silver Land Camera and the Hasselblad match! Isn't that weird?!
Photographers lined up along the Susquehanna River watching for, and photographing, eagles.
First shot off of the "new" Polaroid OneStep Express camera with Polaroid 600 film.

Across the Miller border, a rusted, smashed-up Geo Metro 3-door hatch rots away within the confines of a one-time supermarket turned-indoor paintball center. The roof, interestingly made of wood, caved-in long ago.

No sooner after I slipped this into my pocket did I hear someone in the back of the building shout "Gary Police!"
FFFFFFFFFuck. Again?!
We start walking toward our entry and he's standing midway in the building with a light - gun drawn at his side. I hold up my Nikon and flash the LCD screen, muttering "camera", and he puts it away. Unlike the last guy, photogs in bombed-out buildings wasn't something new to him. We bullshit with for a few minutes, and learn that his wife is actually a photographer - so he doesn't give a fuck we're there, and actually starts suggesting we check out downtown sites (which we've been in multiple times, but we'll humor him), and talks about how parts of the Gary PD (the "remodeled" and partially-used ex-hospital) are uber-creepy. He finally told us we can go back in - just be careful. I guess they watch the area due to scrappers/dumpers and being next to the greasy strip club.
So what have we learned today?
A: Gary cops rock. Be nice to them.
B: Both mentioned scrappers... stop. Seriously.
C: The idiots that were making noise some time ago about now needing a "permit" to photog abandoned buildings in Gary are (as I figured) clearly full of shit and I seriously hope they didn't scam some idiots out of their money. You don't put a price on a natural human instinct, scumbag.
Odyssey Indoor Paintball -- Miller, IN -- 3/26/13
This year I'm using a different film format each month, starting with the smallest and working my way up through the sizes. The format for November is Polaroid SX-70, which has a slightly larger image area than last month's 6x9cm 120 format.
This was taken with a Polaroid 1000 camera (known as Polaroid Onestep in the US), it uses SX-70 film, which is once more available, having been revived by The Impossible Project a few years ago.
This Polaroid features a sliding switch that slides a small magnifying glass (plastic) in front of the lens and viewfinder that allows close focusing of 2-4 feet. Slide the magnifying glass out of the way and the focal length extends to 10 feet.
look what the cat dragged in - a polaroid sx-70 onestep sonar. there's a minolta xd-7 in the background which was added in order to fill in the empty space. didn't even see the black rail in the ground glass.

Polaroid OneStep - graffiti on railroad bridge - Easton, PA - Impossible 600 color film, scanned on Epson V600
This was shot on a fair of old photo cameras. Pretty awesome. Shot with Polaroid SX-70 Land Camera Sonar OneStep and PX 680 Old Generation Impossible Film and ND filter.
From left to right: The SX-70 Alpha, the OneStep Flash, and the OneStep.
I pulled these girls out because tomorrow is the official launch of the Impossible Projects' PX100 & PX600 films which means these cams will be able to see the light of day more often. YAY!

SX-70 Sonar Onestep, Poraloid 600 @ Tama Animal Park, Tokyo, Japan
Wow !!! Today was amazingly muggy in Tokyo.
I feel that a rainy season is almost over and real summer is just around the corner. I went to Tama Zoo park with a friend of mine and like a kid, I was sort of stoked about seeing many animals. I was sweating so much, but I totally lost track of time and took photos of elephants, horses, zebras, Giraffa camelopardalis, and so on. I totally understood kids love a zoo. So different, so vigorous, and so gigantic !!! I need more time to cover all the animals. so I will come back here so soon.
This time, I was able to approach a water buffalo and feed him.
