Horseshoe Bend, Arizona (a meander of the Colorado River located near the town of Page, Arizona, USA; an old photo from my archives)
A stormy day in Cape Greco, apologies for posting so many old pictures, I now produce an annual book of my photographs (for my own record) and because we are in partial lockdown I decided to go back to 2013 and get a book together, it means revisiting old images that I'd forgotten about and trying to improve the originals for the book. I recommend it to you all!

wieviel vergebliche Wiederkehr.
Manches, was uns vertößt,
tut hinterher,
wenn wir vorüber sind,
ratlos die Arme auf.
Denn es giebt keinen Lauf
zuruck. Alles hebt uns hinaus,
und das spät offene Haus
bleibt leer

Really wished I’d read the Crazy Tuesday theme before deciding to shoot my MM shot as a reflection shot!
The jade colour is from a pair of my glasses that I decided to keep in shot, I wanted to keep the mirror in shot as I usually go to great pains to hide it!

Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall
TEARDROPS IN A WATERFALL
Put me on a pedestal like all the flowers of Spring
and I will topple from your eyes like teardrops in a waterfall
Build me up and let me fall and lift me up again
and I may linger on the grass and taste the Summer rain
Let me go before the Fall and watch the Autumn leaves
the brightest colours will grow dull with endless wind and rain
When Winter comes around again let's make our vows anew
and welcome in the soft snow fall to settle on our pain
The seasons come the seasons go and still we fall apart
I need to dance beneath the moon to warm my aching heart
I listen to Vivaldi; Four Seasons that were mine
let slip your hand and walk away, this never was our time …

I confess I was jealous of this tree's view of Bryce Canyon. I strongly desired to stand next to it, hang on to it, look down into the canyon, and hope the trees roots were planted firmly. Afterall, "out on the edge you see all the kinds of things you can't see from the center." (Kurt Vonnegut) Instead I just tried to imagine what it looked like. When it came down to it, fears got the best of me. So much for life on the edge.

What's that up there on the ledge? Normally this might be where I would look to find a mountain goat in the high mountains of Colorado. However, on this day, I found a pika! While we do find pika in the higher altitudes, I've never seen one like this. Usually, they're out running around in the talus piles or out gathering greens and flowers to bring back home to its rock pile home. So, I got quite a kick with this one. I can't help but wonder what it was thinking out there. LOL
Happy Hump Day!
