The Olympic Agora is a structure designed by Santiago Calatrava for the Athens Olympic Games in 2004. It consists of 99 parabolic arches that are linked to form a ceremonial route running along the Athens Olympic Complex.

Riessersee is an artificial lake in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. It hosted speed skating and ice hockey events for the 1936 Winter Olympics (Germany is by the way the only country that hosted both Winter and Sommer Olympics in the same year) Now this lake is a popular bathing location on hot summer days and a trailhead for some great hiking tours in the area.
