I just love photographing Oliver. I think having him in all the white makes it look so dreamy, like he is in the clouds.

I guess this is as close to a snow shot as I'm going to get. ;) :P

Photographing what was left of the Oliver's Hill jetty in Frankton on a wet and wild evening.

It's sad to see this jetty go and be replaced with a concrete monstrosity. It was a great little jetty for photographers new and old to go and practice their long exposure craft.

These flycatchers seem to always be singing or moving. Thankfully, he stopped on this branch long enough to get a shot.

A few of these beautiful birds came into the campsite at Daintree Village to feed on the ginger plant flowers. This is the male. They used to be called the Yellow-bellied Sunbird, which seems a more accurate name, if you ask me!

When Olive was told we would be doing a family photo shoot, she somehow assumed this meant we would all be doing a lot of running... so we ran with that, pun intended.

Olive has been hopping on her back leg on and off for a while, vet visits & x-ray were inconclusive, but a recent CT scan (crazy expensive!) diagnosed a luxating patella. Basically her knee cap pops out sometimes. Apparently its very common in small dogs & can require surgery, but Olive's LP is mild at the moment, so she was prescribed hydrotherapy to strengthen the knee and address any weight bearing issues. She took it all in her stride and I will see how she goes in the coming months. She still runs around happily and no signs of arthritis, ligament damage or hip issues, so that's good.

Yes we are still around! I don't take as many photos, my camera is temperamental at times & I can't afford another :( Cats are ok & Margo & Evie. Evie's had a couple of wobbly episodes with her legs, but 'just' age & arthritis. She does well mostly. I just worry about them all!

Another old typewriter. This pre-dates even me, and is a marvellous piece of machinery. As I sit here typing away on my itty bitty wireless keyboard, I feel somewhat disconnected from the process which is taking place. With these old machines, we were very much a part of the process and it felt right somehow.

This is Olive :) She's caged in love. Is that such a bad thing?

She was supposed to be Gina the crow but I couldn't find a

stuffed crow so you're stuck with Olive :)

I've always wanted a stunning bird cage and today I bought

one at a garage sale :D

Thanks for your interest, Olive was adopted last night and she will travel to a lovely home ^^

I made a big change to my Facebook page.

Since I was uploading so many photos of the bunnies anyway, I decided to change it from 'Emily Kember Photography' to a page for the bunnies! The page is now called 'Luna & Oliver'!

So head on over to Facebook and give us a like! :)

Don't worry Flickr followers, I will still be uploading photos here. In fact, I am trying to upload more frequently. So look forward to that! :)
