Kirribilli House is the secondary official residence of the Prime Minister of Australia. Located in the Sydney harbourside suburb of Kirribilli, New South Wales, the house is at the far eastern end of Kirribilli Avenue. It is one of two official Prime Ministerial residences, the primary official residence being The Lodge in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory. The house, gardens and grounds are listed on the Commonwealth Heritage List.
Port Jackson, consisting of the waters of Sydney Harbour, Middle Harbour, North Harbour and the Lane Cove and Parramatta Rivers, is the natural harbour of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The harbour is an inlet of the Tasman Sea (part of the South Pacific Ocean). It is the location of the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. The location of the first European settlement and colony on the Australian mainland, Port Jackson has continued to play a key role in the history and development of Sydney. Port Jackson, in the early days of the colony, was also used as a shorthand for Sydney and its environs. Many recreational events are based on or around the harbour itself particularly the Sydney New Year's Eve celebrations and the starting point of the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race. The waterways of Port Jackson are managed by the Roads & Maritime Services. Sydney Harbour National Park protects a number of islands and foreshore areas, swimming spots, bushwalking tracks and picnic areas. 14701

The Franz Hesselberger is tied up along the canal here in Bamberg for the weekend. More or less an official guest. I liked the way it lay there in the water in evening sunlight. It is operated as a utility tugboat and ice-breaker by the Danube WSA (Wasserstraßen- und Schifffahrtsamt), the agency that maintains the Main-Danube canal. [DSC00236_lr_3000]

The official City Explorer Tour Trams. 2011
I think these have been replaced by hop on - hop off Double Decker red buses today.
These Trams seemed a little bit slow and may have held up the traffic flow. They didn't run on rails but had tyres and could travel anywhere.

Climb aboard a wooden replica tram that resembles the first trams to operate in Perth. Friendly drivers provide a commentary as the tram passes by historic points of interest, like Barracks Archway. The journey travels to Kings Park, with spectacular views over the city, and across the river to Burswood Resort and Casino. If you take the morning tour you can stop over at the Casino or Kings Park for no extra cost, then catch a later tram when ready.
When I detrained from the Coast Starlight at Seattle once upon a timetable, this business car was on spot at King Street Station. Since Amtrak 14 had been early, I figured I had time to grab a photo before my ride arrived.
The "Columbia River" had a rather colorful history. It was built as a shell in 1958 for Soo Line. They finished the interior of the car and named it "Minneapolis." Great Northern purchased the car in 1966 as their "A2." In 1971, Burlington Northern named the car "Columbia River." It soldiers on today as BNSF 2, still carrying the "Columbia River" name.

The official state reptile of Florida, the American Alligator can grow up to 15ft and weigh 453kg (adult male). They inhabit freshwater wetlands including swamps, rivers, ponds and lakes and eat pretty much anything that's available.
Although American Alligators are less aggressive towards humans than Nile and saltwater crocodiles, caution should still be exercised when gators are, or might be, present.
Despite Florida having more than a million gators and being a very popular holiday destination, reported attacks on humans have been about 250 in the last 70 years with 23 of these being fatal.
Following the tragic death of a two year old boy at a Disney Resort in 2016 (he had been playing in shallow water at the edge of a lake at about 9.00pm), the authorities advised that families with young children should stay clear of waterways at night-time, when gators can’t readily make out the difference between a small child and their normal food sources such as wading birds and mammals.
Female gators can also be very aggressive during the nesting season (June/July) and quite often wardens of wildlife reserves will close paths and trails during this time if there are nests close by.
The gator in this photo is a rather small one. It was taken at Lakes Regional Park which is quite a well used public park near Fort Myers in Florida. I have seen much larger gators there and I understand that the local authorities will occasionally remove these large gators and relocate them to somewhere more appropriate.
