Atlantean Guard Helmet, Hawkeye Head, and Magneto Torso.
Recently I had come across the Icelandic band, Árstíðir. One of my favorite arrangements by them I featured yesterday and will leave at the bottom of this post; their music was a huge inspiration for this standalone piece. I've always found Aquaman to be one of the most mystical of DC's characters. I think of the statistical data and studies done about the seas, and the fact that we as a species know more about space than we do the ocean just blows my mind. I like to think of Atlantis as the most regal and majestic of the DCU and that that could easily be possible gives me a weird sense of optimism for new discovery.
I'm currently in the process of building a throne room to shoot in for Aquaman as well so we should see that in the near future, but for now perhaps this may be the outskirts of an abandoned Atlantian war zone, where Black Manta has lured Arthur and Tempest for Ocean Master to take the head of the king!

Also I would recommend taking the time to listen to Árstíðir's music along with this piece, for I feel that it really completes the imagery.

Yay, Ocean Master! A bunch of people have done this guy already in his various comic book appearances, but I wanted to try something new using some really good looking parts that otherwise would have gone unnoticed. This was also the fig I teased in the pic of Zero Year Bats (the Shark General collar is visible on the bottom left). What do you think? I personally really like the layered look of the cape. Decided not to go with the Hawkeye face because Orm looks a little more personable with his pupils visible. After all, wouldn’t you want your tour guide of the land you don’t understand to be a jolly old fellow?

“Maybe when you're older Orm!” Arthur chuckled, “Kaldur'ahm, take your father to the cells with Garth, see to it he's locked away for good this time”
Aqualad nodded, “Yes my king” and the two proteges carried Black Manta out.
Arthur and Mera embraced each other with loving arms. “Oh my love, did they hurt you?”
“Not a scratch dear” Aquaman said with a smile, kissing his queen as the doors of the throne room closed for the final time.

The Ocean Master pulled his helmet over his face as the rumblings of muffled explosions and laser fire grew louder and louder.
“...And let this be a lesson to all of you” Black Manta scoffed as he removed his sword from the abdomen of former officer. “I do not tolerate ANY doubts regarding your allegiance over The Aquaman's! Is that clear?”
“Yes Sir!” said unanimously in fear.
Slowly the noise from outside the doors went silent.
“Ready your weapons. Shoot to kill.” Manta commanded, griping his weapon tighter.
The small squadron stood still in silence for what felt like minutes, sweat building under their helmets.
“Oh what's he waiting for?!” Orm snapped, rising from the throne and marched towards the door.
“Well Orm,” A deep voice came from the balcony, “You were in my seat...”

Aquaman makes a surprising entrance with companions at his side! I was trying my hand at building some suspense in the story with having our hero finally enter in part three. Two more chapters to go, stay tuned! :)

Black Manta has stormed the Thrown Room, and captured Mera, leaving Aquaman no where to be found!
A big five part story is coming your way so keep a look out for more to come!
“How did you-?!” Orm cried in shock at Aquaman's presence.
“This is my Palace Orm. My home.” Arthur spoke with dignity “Do you not think I know it's secret entrances?” And without a seconds notice, a heavy trident came down upon his as the two engaged in battle!
“Atlantis belongs to me Brother, it always has!”
“You are lost Orm, let me show you what good lies below your surface!”
“Never!”
As the two fought, Tempest disarmed, and took down Manta's soldiers, rendering them useless. At the same time Kaldur'ahm, despite his fear, stopped his father from murdering the king and over-throwing the city!
In a matter of minutes the throne room was riddled with foot soldiers and their leader. “Stop your squirming little brother!” Aquaman protested, keeping The Ocean Master pinned under Neptune's Trident. “Kaldur, Garth, let us find Mera and end this tyranny!”

“Patience is a luxury that you've never been fond of.” Orm spoke easy, taking a triumphant seat in the king's throne. “He's either as dumb as they say, or he's come to understand that I am the true heir to Atlantis. We should be celebrating! A new order is upon us!”
“I'll celebrate once I find his body.” Manta spoke sternly.
“Steady on, I too am cautious, but we're in the most secure location in the city! You're men have taken the palace and Aquaman's soldiers have been dealt with. He's not getting in here alive!”
“Except so did we...”
Suddenly, the doors of the great hall crashed open and in swam a small squad of Manta's soldiers. Two of them slammed the doors closed behind them, activating the locking procedure.
“General Manta, General Manta Sir!” The commanding officer called “They've made it past levels nine and ten! ...General... He's here...”

So I'm trying some different techniques this time around with simulated blurring and bubbles, giving a bit of underwater flavor to this photo shoot. I'm still not super sure if I like how some of it is executed or not, but I don't necessarily hate it either....
Also, I'm going to try to condense the uploading process to keep my sanity in check, so this series is going to have a total of five separate uploads, but only three more story posts.
A bit more imagery never hurt anybody, right? :P

Cleaning up my photostream a bit. Made some new images for some minifigures I thought deserved it.
Just a little shitty teaser for what i have coming in august, when i fully return.
I decided to change my name, as i don't like being restricted to DC stuff.
So now my flickr name is my real name, as i didn't want to make it something cringe or anything.
so yeah i'll be back soon, thanks for almost 200 followers!
And here we have it, after a couple of months of on and off work I have made a Legion with the roster of 50 and there may be more on the way! Most of them have already been posted but there are new members like the Brain, Plastique, Deathstroke, Rampage, Parasite, Siren, Count Vertigo, Sportsmaster, The Inhuman Flame and Star Sapphire. So I hope you like them all as much as I do :D

The Teen Titans formed when the three young heroes called Robin (Dick Grayson), Kid Flash (Wally West), and Aqualad (Garth), succeeded in fighting the villain Mister Twister. Their mentors (Batman, Flash and Aquaman) and the rest of the Justice League were impressed with this effort, and they decided to let the boys form their own team. Kid Flash came up with the Teen Titans, and they rest liked the sound of that. The three of them decided that Robin should be teamleader, and they went on numerous adventures together. They later decided to expand, and to have team try-outs. The ones who were chosen to join their team were Wonder Girl (Donna Troy), Speedy (Roy Harper), Cyborg, Raven, and Starfire. The team noticed rather quickly that Starfire had a crush on Robin, and that Robin didn't really seem to mind. This brought him at odds with Garth and Wally. Wally however was rather quickly quiet when Raven revealed that he had a crush on Donna himself. Against all odds, Robin and Starfire started dating, and it went rather well. When the team faced the villain group H.I.V.E. they got help from two other heroes: Lilith Clay, aka Omen, and Bumblebee. After the main court of H.I.V.E. escaped, the two heroïnes were invited in the group. Aqualad would be the first one to quit the team, because Atlantis was under attack by Oceanmaster, and Aquaman needed everyone he could get. The next one who would quit was Bumblebee, who decided to join the Doom Patrol. A few months later, Barbara Gordon, aka Batgirl was shot by the Joker. Because she was Dick's long time friend, he gave Barbara more attention than Starfire, and the two started a fight. The fight ended in Dick breaking up with Star, giving Roy the leadership over the team, and he himself to quit the Teen Titans. Later on, Lilith was kidnapped and brainwashed by the timetravelling villain Harvest. The team were able to rescue Lilith, but because she was too emotionally damaged, she couldn't function normal on the team anymore. Raven decided to also quit the team, to give Lilith mental support. The team now consisted of Speedy, Kid Flash, Cyborg, Wonder Girl, and Starfire. Donna decided it was also time for her to quit the team, since she was asked in assisting Wonder Woman in the fight against Ares. Dick came back however with the new Robin: Jason Todd. He left Jason in the Titan's care, and then left again. Wally, Roy and Vic inmediatly saw that Starfire and Jason were hitting it of, thus continuing Starfire the line of dating Robins. The team functioned really well however, but They did notice, that Jason Todd, was no Dick Grayson. When Jason was killed by the Joker, the team were all broken down, especially Starfire, who quit the team, because she emotionally couldn't handle it anymore. Roy, Wally and Vic decided to hold new trials again. The members who were chosen to join the new team were: Miss Martian, Superboy, Beast Boy, the new Aqualad, and the new Wonder Girl. Cyborg quit the team after the recruitment however, because he was invited to join the Justice League. Roy changed his name to Red Arrow, and he continued to lead the Titans for several missions, but eventually he and Wally also decided to quit the team, making Wally the one who lasted the longest on the team. Roy did however hand the leadership over to the new Robin: Tim Drake. He joined the Teen Titans with other recruits: Artemis, Impulse, and Blue Beetle. Wally soon became the Silver Flash, and he gave the Kid Flash title to Impulse.

Powers: Can swim up to 70 knots, Atlantian magic and can breathe under the water.
Arch Enemy: Aquaman
Not your typical member of the legion but I do believe that the needs contacts everywhere including under the ocean. While he does not show up in the Hall of Doom and Black Manta holds his more public spot, he provides information to the legion from his spot in the Atlantian council.
