This slab of ocean jasper from Madagascar is very reminiscent of a seahorse...yup...

I went a little crazy polishing stones! These are from some of my most treasured slabs. What a joy to watch the beauty emerge from the slabs and take a gorgeous polish. I'd love to hear which one you like. View large!

The wirewrapping is going to have to wait a bit. I've got a lot going on right now and I need to let my hand recover. I sort of overdid! lol.

Please help spread the word about my handcrafted jewelry business. It would be wonderful if you would suggest the Gentle Spirit Creations facebook page to your friends!

Marbled mahogany blend of Alizarin Crimson, Black, and Gold Premo; and Translucent Premo to which I added Ranger Distress Soot Embossing Powder and Ranger Lettuce alcohol ink.

I enhanced the pendant with snakeskin jasper rondelles, African jasper freeform slabs, and Red and Gold Tiger Eye rounds, thai silver spacers and carved horn bone beads

A triangler cabochon of the gemstone Ocean Jasper has been wire wrapped in sterling silver to create this lovely pendant. The Ocean Jasper is a pale brown/orange colour with natural patterns in the stone featuring swirls and circles as well as slight flecks of green. Three strands of sterling silver wire, two of them twisted, sweep across the front of the pendant. A unique and lovely pendant that you are sure to be delighted with.

Length of Pendant: 4 3/4 cm (1 7/8 in)

This was my entry in the 2008 Bead Dreams Competition.

The focal stone is an ocean jasper, with Botswana Agate, various stone and shells and lots of seed beads surrounding it.

Bead embroidery, backed with recycled leather.

Ocean Jasper and Bloodstone cabochons combine with a vintage jewelry finding and lots and lots of stone chips and beads in this bead embroidered collar. It is one of those pieces that started out as a small necklace and just grew and grew!

This is a reworking of an older cab. I put a better dome where I had a flat spot and used some higher grit wheels I've acquired since then.

The result is mixed: the fortifications in the agate are more visible, but some of the really nice, concentric orbs were lost. Overall, though, it is improved. Some of the orbs have an interesting, fuzzy appearance due to flow or leveling lines in the agate covering them.

Well, I finally broke down and bought a small slab of ocean jasper at the show put on by the Roseville Rock Rollers. I worked some cabs from it this past weekend, and I'm quite happy with it. The material is nicely agatized, hard and doesn't have a lot of pitting. The orbs are nice, and the color-scheme is one of my favorite for this material.

Front-closing toggle necklace featuring an incredible Ocean Jasper cab.

I obtained this beauty from The Agate Works. I've loved every cab I've gotten from them. Highly recommend!

Pendant/necklace in sterling silver

this was a commission piece using the client's stone and coral

Why is it so hard to catch the proper colours when taking a pic. Imagine this stone with more light yellow green inlays. Then you have the correct colours.

This necklace can be worn with chain double and short, or long with the pendant dangling just above the waist.

On the back are a leaf cut out.

Ocean jasper and coral cabochons bezel-set in textured and oxidized fine silver. Handcrafted necklace composed of sterling silver with lampwork glass beads and a hand-forged and hammered spiral clasp. One of a kind.

I hammered and wire wrapped sterling silver wire into curly S links and attached the links to freswater pearls, green garnet, Mexican opal, lampwork beads, ocean jasper, and a Hill Tribe silver shell bead to create this long one of a kind necklace.

This one of a kind anklet is made with natural ocean jasper nuggets, clear crystal rondelles, and tiny bronze glass beads. The clasp is sterling silver and this piece measures 9.25".

Stunning piece of Ocean Jasper, with a nice druzy vug!
