This was the most challenging of the whole course, as it is much bigger than it looks from this perspective...I was quite a bit downhill from them. This young lady usually rides this horse side saddle in a drill team at Charro rodeos, but was riding her western saddle in this horsemanship clinic.

This little mare would go anywhere he pointed her...he trained her himself, this fourteen year old cowboy, and together they had everyone's absolute respect at the clinic. At this point they were the only ones who made it all the way up and over. It was much more daunting than it looks from where i was standing, way downhill, out of the way of panicky horses. This was part of an entire obstacle course that was, according to the clinician, the most challenging course he had ever seen built.
I bought my horse, Rusty, from this ranch 17 years ago, but it was before this tire obstacle had been built.
