The 162m i360 shot from below, near the remains of the West Pier on Brighton Beach. The "i" in i360 stands for "intelligence, innovation and integrity".

On its travels full of paying observers, the i360 Brighton starts to rise.

The i360 is a 162 m (531 ft) moving observation tower on the seafront of Brighton, East Sussex,

Brighton i360 was designed, engineered, manufactured and promoted by the team responsible for the London Eye The attraction cost £46 million,

The movement of wind and waves over mossy rocks, the reflections of blue sky and the red Lonsdale Quay Observation Tower create this colourful, natural "abstract".

On the summit 0f the mountain there is the ruin of the former castle Zabelstein, which was destroyed in the Peasant's Wars in 1525. At the moment are dominating the bright yellow rape fields in the landscape around the Zabelstein.

Extending out dramatically over Niagara Gorge, the architectural wonder of the Niagara Falls USA Prospect Point Observation Tower provides unobstructed views of the wild cascades of Niagara Falls, as well as the raging whitewater below.

The tower provides the only panoramic view of all three Niagara Falls. Bird watchers love it because they can spot peregrine falcons, bald eagles and the many different gull species present in the Niagara Gorge.

closer to maybe 2010? not sure. it was one of the first times I decided to use a camera in my area. it required two double A batteries, to operate. it was cold outside. since then, I've gotten more accustomed to getting a quick shot of something, but im still learning to be more comfortable when taking pictures out in the public.

Sunrise at Myakka River State Park in Sarasoata, FL. We got up real early to catch a sunrise during our camping trip at the park. We had to hike the trail to the observation tower and canopy walkway by flashlight. One of my favorite experiences on this trip.

Happy Tree-mendous Tuesday and have a great week friends!

Looking up and under the canopy walkway to the 74ft observation tower at Myakka River State Park in Sarasota, FL. We enjoyed a sunrise view of the park from a different vantage point.

The tallest building in Finland framed by the trees I first thought of as obstructions, now have become part of the composition.

Näsinneula is the central point of the amusement park Särkänniemi in Tampere. It's 168 meters tall, but the highest point you can visit is at 134 meters.

Tampere is home for both the tallest building of Finland as well as the tallest hotel in Finland. The Hotel Torni is 88.5 meters tall and at the top floor (25th) there's a bar with a great view of central Tampere from all the four sides of the building.

The sun started to go down and when I moved my position the sun looked like it was balanced on the top of the i360, like a large candle, so I had to take a photo!

This tower looking out to sea is a curious combination of a very early 19th century 'Martello' tower base with a four-floor observation tower added by German forces during their WWII occupation of Guernsey.

Facilities at Whiting Forest, in Midland, Michigan, include a 30-foot observation tower, accessible to visitors, that is built in a style reminiscent of early forest fire towers. I am counting those railings as a fence for this week’s Fence Friday. :-)

Captured with a Minolta Dynax 700si on AgfaPhoto APX 100 film, this black-and-white image presents the Reinhold-Maier-Tower in Boertlingen. The green-and-white striped structure, resembling a lighthouse, is a repurposed nearly 100-year-old pendulum tower of the state water supply, now serving as an observation tower. Standing tall against a textured sky, its bold pattern contrasts with the surrounding landscape. A bare tree frames the right side, adding a touch of quiet solitude, while the adjacent building grounds the scene in a sense of place. The image evokes both clarity and nostalgia, blending architectural precision with an atmospheric stillness.

Happy Tree-mendous Tuesday!

It was erected on the occasion of the Universal Exhibition that was held in Paris in 1889, according to the design of the engineer Alexandre Gustave Eiffel. Although it had to be disassembled so that this exhibition ended, it was decided not to do so.

When it was built it was the tallest monument in the world, 300 meters high, and weighed around 7,300 tons.

Depending on the ambient temperature, the peak of the Eiffel Tower can approach or move away from the base about eight centimeters, due to the thermal expansion of the metal.

The maintenance of the tower includes the application of fifty tons of paint every five years, with the intention of protecting it from corrosion.

The Falls: Epic Nature in the City Center.

Sioux Falls is home to "The Falls" of the Big Sioux River, a waterway system that has been flowing in its present course for thousands of years. The falls have been a focus of life in the region throughout history, from prehistoric people who inhabited the area before 500 B.C. to the Lakota and Dakota tribes in the 18th century to modern day. Surrounding the falls is beautiful Falls Park, a 50-hectare green space in the heart of the city. The pink quartzite rock, or Sioux Quartzite, seen at Falls Park is native to the area and was used to construct roads and many of Sioux Falls’ first buildings. Its rustic, rosy hue is easily recognizable when viewing the city’s skyline.

Many thanks for your time, visit and comments - always highly appreciated!
