I have no idea why but this man had more security than anyone at the convention, including Hillary Clinton. This photo had to be taken with a telephoto lens because there was no way you could get close to him. There were baracades, secret service, and even the volunteers were keeping people away. At one point I almost got into a fight with a convention volunteer because she actually pushed me to keep from taking a photo.

In a rare move, I’ve decided to do something political. Do you know any democrats who would love this cute donkey as a gift? Any expectant democratic mommies? To be honest, I don’t mind at all if you knit this little donkey, and embroider "Clinton" on the saddle, or even "McCain" (because you think he’s an ass….just kidding), but you should know the money will still go to Obama. This is my way of celebrating the primary in NC. Happy Primary Day!

Obama has some smart people working for him. His team does a tremendous job in Philadelphia. Well, at least on Upenn campus. I didn't see any Hillary moves yet, but Barack is all over the place: stands, window panels, stickers and whatnot.

A NOTE ON THIS PICTURE: This picture appeared alongside an article in which the author made a case against people across the political spectrum incorrectly using the term Nazi to identify one's political ideology. The correct analogy would be to equate Obama's policies with those of the National Socialist Party.
Do I believe that Obama is a Nazi? No, that is ludicrous, but the article was a hard-hitting critique of the controversy surrounding people slinging the term Nazi around these days, hence the photo was appropriate. If it offends you, look away.

What was funny about taking this one... The guy on the bike saw me taking the pics so kept circling the block and riding past -- over and over. We never exchanged a word or glance, but I could tell he loved being in the picture.
Guess he hoped this would show up somewhere cool and give him his well-deserved 15 minutes of fame. ;-) Thanks, man!
