Mt. Robson (3,954 m = 12,972 ft), is also known as "Cloud Cap Mountain" and by climbers as the "Great White Fright."

With 2,975 m (9,760 ft) elevation gain from the valley floor below it is a difficult challenge for those brave enough to climb it.

Remnants of an early 1900's pier'

Point Roberts,

WASHINGTON, USA

Follow my lead to the end of the pier, then veer your eyes to the pilings on the left. I read that in the early 1900's those old piles were used as supporting stilts for an industrial fishing building.

I can only imagine men walking down the pier, carrying their lunch boxes as they headed out to work.

On the horizon you will have left USA waters and entered Canadian waters where you will notice one of BC Ferries, Spirit Class vessels departing: Tsawwassen-Swartz Bay, BC Canada on route to Victoria ( Capital of British Columbia ) located on Vancouver Island.

Bank holiday Monday along the Rochdale canal at Hebden Bridge

The diamond of Serifos is its capital, Chora, which is considered to be a model of a medieval castled settlement, built amphitheatrically on the rocky height of the bay of Livadi , in order to protect it from the pirate invasions.

This lake is like every Photographer’s dream, especially early in the morning, when the sun just starts to rise, and the ground worms up. It is located on Icefields, north of Lake Louise, along highway 83, in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada. That day was quite cool in the morning, and the light wind did not created any ripples on the surface of water. Enjoy the full beauty of magnificent Vermilion Lakes.

Thanks for your visits and comments. As always, appreciated very much!

The leather leash I use is 6 feet long (1.8 m), and Blanca knows exactly how long that is and keeps herself comfortably within that range.

However, when she is off leash, she adjusts herself to the much stronger and invisible bond of love. She will vary according to points of interest to investigate, but generally the distance shown in this photo is her self-determined default distance from me when we are walking together. According to the EXIF info, our love bond measures 22.4 meters (73.4 feet).

The Three Sisters at Katoomba in The Blue Mountains of New South Wales

Just a handful of minutes after As The Sky Speaks.

I hope you like it.

I took this picture on film with my Canon EOS-1 over 15 years ago. I discovered the film canisters and took them in to be developed last week. Only minor color level adjustment was done in Photoshop

I've been trying to get out and take advantage of the light with the sun starting to set earlier. I got lucky with this shot. This little bee was kind enough to fly right into my depth of field which was only 3cm deep at the aperture and focal length I shot with. I saw it enter the frame and just kept shooting in the hopes I might get one in focus. I didn't have any focus points active on that side of the frame and never could have changed them fast enough.

Thanks for viewing!

So horrified to hear the terrible news coming from Belgium. My thoughts are with the people of Brussels. Very hard to make sense of all this insanity!

I don't know if this means I'm a full fledged landscape photographer yet, but I can honestly say I have gotten my "feet wet".

A couple of weeks ago a Flickr friend and fellow photographer David Frey, contacted me to let me know that he would be visiting the San Diego area around the holidays and ask if I would like to spend the day shooting Hospital Reef. Of course I jumped at the opportunity to spent some time with a higher caliber photographer than myself which always leads to more learning.

At 3:00am I packed up my gear and headed off down the freeway giving us plenty of time to scout the reef and set up. We checked the tide time and height using a fisherman's site and found that the tide level would be very high, but I wasn't sure how high up on the reef the best formations are situated. It was going to be a total crap shoot as far as tide levels go but I was confident that the weather was going to be perfect. It had rained the day before and the NWS radar that I had been watching in anticipation all week promised a great sunrise and possibly sunset. After chatting with David for a while we soon located the potholes and several other popular formations and then waited for the light as it was still totally dark.

I knew the sun would be behind us in the morning but I was hoping that we would get some good cross lighting which usually happens if it's cloudy in the west and clear in the east, which was case this morning, and it didn't disappoint.

This is a shot taken later in the day. When David and I returned for sunset. He went directly to the composition that he had found earlier in the day and planted himself there for three hours. "I'm gonna wait for the light to come to me" he said. I'm not that confident when it comes to staying put during "panic time" thats what i call the 30 minutes during sunset. I ran around to 7 or 8 different compositions during the sunset and grabbed some really cool shots. I am still learning how to manipulate time through my lens and I think I went a little to long on this shot, but considering I was using no filters I think it turned out fairly good. I hope you like it too. :)

Thank you for taking the time to visit and as always, your views, comments, faves, and support are greatly appreciated!! :) Have a great week ahead everybody. :)
