Made a last minute visit here last evening on my proposed visit to Bosham, but as i approached the turning for this church,at Idsworth,i thought of the diversion.
St Huberts, Idsworth is in an isolated hamlet, with mediaeval Saxon origins, in the East Hampshire district and South Downs National Park in Hampshire, England.
In Greek mythology, Crocus was a beloved companion of the god Hermes. Unfortunately, Crocus was killed accidentally by Hermes during a discus game. As Hermes mourned, he transformed Crocus' body into a flower.

A good portion of the west coast of the South Island of New Zealand is rainforest. Lot of ferns! The koru (Māori for 'loop or coil') is a spiral shape evoking a newly unfurling frond from a silver fern. Its shape conveys the idea of perpetual movement, while the inner coil suggests returning to the point of origin.

For an idea of scale, if you look closely you can just see people descending the dune. Deadvlei, Namibia
I think this is one of my most favourite pics I've ever made. I had been planning it for a while and eventually took the basic photographs in 2 different sessions (one during the day and one at night).
The location was an old quarry in a forest near Ardentinny in Argyll, Scotland. Hiking there with my camera gear in the dark for the second shoot was quite the experience!
This is chronologically the latest pic I've made in my "Intruder" series of shots, but it is intended to be the first in his Timeline. The photos can be seen in order here: clickandprayphotography.zenfolio.com/p770511902

Origin 1-111
Like terrariums cradling prehistoric landscapes, the three vitrines of Dora Budor’s Origins seem anchored in a time before plants, trees or life as we know it. Deposits of pigment and dust erupt from volcano mounds in a process resembling the early evolution of our atmosphere.

(This time focusing foreground in this trunk that was close to the shore returning to the sea, just a few minutes before the night comes)
Who among us has not ever asked yourself: What are we? Where we come from? and where do we go?
A very simple and purely material response might be:
We are sea water sea we come and we will return to the sea. And it always reminds me of the connections that our internal environment with the sea.
Connections that obey biological facts of universal and eternal proportions that are unquestionable.
Picture taken just a minutes after the sunset in La Garrofera Beach from Valencia, this wonderful natural and wild beach belongs to the Albufera Natural Park.
On the technical side, say that I only used a neutral gradient three steps filter.
I hope you like it. Have a nice Wednesday. :)

The origin of the house at 249 Victoria Street that became the historic Senator Restaurant, dates back to the earliest property records kept by the Town of York...1860
In 1929, prior to the Great Depression, Toronto had become one of the leading cultural centres of the world. The restored ELGIN/WINTERGARDEN and PANTAGES ED MIRVISH Theatres are the last two original vaudeville houses of the era and with MASSEY HALL they have now formed the downtown theatre district. Robert Angeloff, a Macedonian entrepreneur, converted the house to the BUSY BEE DINER. The “B” consisted of an open kitchen and counter and became a local destination for traditional meals and coffee to go. In 1938 Luke and Vangel Eftimoff purchased the Busy Bee which they later sold to George Nicolau, a cook with a vision.
George renovated and expanded the Busy Bee and renamed it the SENATOR. Designed and built by the Toronto Refrigeration Company, the SENATOR remains today in its original style and fixtures from 1948. After the war, downtown Toronto along Yonge Street – known across Canada as “the strip” – became the destination for the new restaurants and nightclubs in the city; BASSEL’S , STEELE’S, THE BROWN DERBY, TOWN TAVERN, COLONIAL TAVERN, SILVER RAIL and LE COQ D’OR but regrettably these are all now gone.
In the past 30 years, under the ownership of the Sniderman family, the SENATOR has become a Toronto landmark and dining institution. The oldest restaurant in the city still has a youthful spirit and we have served generations of Torontonians and visitors alike who appreciate our high quality standards; listed on back page. Now in our 84th year of continuous operation in the same location,

It was an awesome experience hiking on the glacier, traversing crevasses, exploring ice caves and breathing in the fresh air of the wide open spaces. To look up and see the origin of a waterfall on such a hike was exhilarating.

Text a la vora de l'estany del jardí botànic:
"In the pond, you see "Origin of Species" the work of Will Beckers, a Dutch artist who now lives in Belgium. His installation is made from hinged trunks of elm and is almost insect-like in appearance. Because it is placed right at the water's edge it appears to hover, and Beckers plays with the idea: What would trees have looked liked if evolution had taken another path in the development of species? Perhaps they would have been mobile?"
