It's hanging on the wall in our dining room. Wish I could say that I had painted it but, alas, it was done by my grandmother on my father's side. I never knew her as she died before I was born.
I'm worn out from shopping and way behind so I'm trying to catch up!!
Just messing around with one of those new fangled camera apps that lets you add some fun to the picture after the fact....and then threw some tonal music underneath cause it seemed like it needed it :)

La Giralda de Sevilla es uno de los monumentos más icónicos de la capital hispalense siendo uno de los más visitados y amados tanto por los sevillanos como por los turistas que visitan la ciudad. 1.Su nombre originalmente, en 1568, cuando fue construida como minarete, fue el de “Triunfo de la Fe Victoriosa”, pero poco tiempo después pasó a llamarse Giralda, cuya traducción es, literalmente, “que gira”
Una inscripción en latín recorre las cuatro caras del monumento. “Turris fortissima nomen DNI Proverb. 18” que significa “La torre más fuerte es el Nombre del Señor”. El campanario consta de 24 campanas, cada una con su propio nombre.18 de las campanas son de volteo y las otras 6 restantes son de golpe. La más grande de todas ellas, la campana de Santa María Mayor, es de golpe. La Giralda cuenta con multitud de réplicas a lo largo del mundo entre las que se encuentran la del Madison Square Garden, la Kansas (USA), la de Arbós (Tarragona) o en Badajoz. La Giralda es parte del Patrimonio Histórico de la Humanidad de la UNESCO, junto con la Catedral, el Alcázar y el Archivo General de Indias.
