The opposing shadows is quite a complex macro.....

Large raptor. Appears dark from a distance. Up close, dark brown above with bare red head. In flight, undersides of wings are two-toned; lighter on the entire trailing edge of the wing, opposed to just wingtips on Black Vulture. Wings are held slightly raised when soaring, making a "V" when seen head-on. Tends to wobble in flight. Wingbeats slower and deeper than Black Vulture. Glides relatively low while sniffing for carrion, or riding thermals to higher vantage points. Also huddles around roadkill or dumpsters. (eBird)

The Cathedral of Our Lady (Dutch: Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekathedraal) is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Antwerp, Belgium. Today's see of the Diocese of Antwerp started in 1352 and, although the first stage of construction was ended in 1521, has never been 'completed'. In Gothic style, its architects were Jan and Pieter Appelmans. It contains a number of significant works by the Baroque painter Peter Paul Rubens, as well as paintings by artists such as Otto van Veen, Jacob de Backer and Marten de Vos.

The belfry of the cathedral is included in the Belfries of Belgium and France entry in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

The first Christian missionaries arrived in the 7th century. The first parish church dedicated to Saint Peter and Saint Paul was constructed in the current Sint Michielsstraat. After the Viking raids in 836, the church was damaged and restored, and subsequently dedicated to Saint Michael. In the 10th century, a group of 12 secular canons were connected to this church. They would dedicate all of their time to the Liturgy of the Hours, and mainly opposed the beliefs of the established Roman Catholic Church.

Upon hearing of their dissent behavior, the bishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cambrai (to which Antwerp belonged at the time) then sent Norbert of Xanten to discipline them. In 1124, Norbert of Xanten convinces 4 of the secular canons to start a norbertine abbey and thus the parish church becomes a monastery church, known as St. Michael's Abbey. The 8 other secular canons prefer to keep their freedom and move to a different location, a chapel dedicated to Our Lady, the Virgin Mary.

This chapel becomes Antwerp's new parish church, and is located between the Saint Michael residential area, and an older settlement around the area of Het Steen.

Becoming more popular, the chapel is demolished and replaced by a much bigger romanesque church. The three-aisled nave corresponded in width to the cathedral's current central aisle, the inner and partly the middle aisles. The cloverleaf-shaped eastern section with a full aisle had a width of no less than 42 m. In 1294, the church gets a novum opus extension, indicating the first signs of gothic architecture.

"Look for them in wetlands across North America, from coastal mudflats to sewage ponds and flooded fields. Like the very similar Long-billed Dowitcher, it probes for food by rhythmically inserting the bill straight up and down like a sewing machine needle at work. On tundra breeding grounds, males perform flight displays on quivering wings, delivering a grating, bubbly song. Sometimes bird names just seem wrong: it only takes one look at a Short-billed Dowitcher to notice it’s not a short-billed shorebird! The name is meant to distinguish it from the Long-billed Dowitcher, but it’s only a subtle difference. Female dowitchers have longer bills than males, so if you see one with an absurdly long-looking bill, it’s probably a female Long-billed. But in general, it’s much more useful to listen to dowitchers than to look at their bills to tell them apart. Early American ornithologist Elliott Coues believed that the word dowitcher derived from a hunters’ name for the bird, 'German snipe'—as opposed to 'English snipe,' which referred to the bird we now know as Wilson’s Snipe. In Pennsylvania Dutch, an American dialect of German, 'Duitscher' is the word for 'German.' Hunters and naturalists in the colonial era also knew dowitchers as red-breasted snipe and brownback.Unlike the Long-billed Dowitcher, Short-billed Dowitchers migrate in stages, first moving to intermediate areas to complete their molt, then moving on to their ultimate wintering areas. This strategy is called 'molt migration.'" Information from the All About Birds website, www.allaboutbirds.org, © Cornell Lab of Ornithology.

*********************************************************************************

The Venezia district This ancient district, both maritime and industrial, is considered the most interesting and picturesque part of the city to visit. The "Little Venice" of Livorno (sometimes also called the "Venezia Nuova") extends mainly north of the great Republic Square (Piazza della Republica). But a canal reappears on the opposite side after continuing, underground, under the Place de la République itself. The huge Republic Square is therefore a bridge spanning one of the main canals of Livorno

We continue the walk and will make a detour by the fort

A week ago Friday morning in the morning as opposed to the next days image I posted earlier in the week which was from Saturday afternoon. The smoke from the the Mosquito Fire basically gave the sky a totally apocalyptic orange cast on the sun which is what this image is. Not sunset but at 10 am in the morning, it was a sunny day but the smoke of the Mosquito Fire basically created an orange overcast in sky, something I’ve never experienced nor witnessed before. Today while in Colfax we could see a new plume from the same fire as prevalent winds fanned the blaze, which now is at over 73,000 acres and at 21% containment. There is rain in the forecast tomorrow and Monday so nature is providing much needed assistance and relief to the containment of the Mosquito Fire . - [ ] #developportdev @gothamtomato @developphotonewsletter @apple #excellent_america #apple @bheventspace @bhphoto @adorama @tamracphoto @tiffencompany #usaprimeshot #mosquitofire @californiafirefighter @visitcalifornia @nevadacountyca

*Working Towards a Better World

Let's come together and sit at the table and work out our differences. In the long run we all have the same goal, to live happily in peace. The only way to attain that life is by compromising and finding better ways to exist together, help one another, be tolerant, understanding, compassionate, share and peacefully work out our differences. We owe this, in a huge way to our children and, if we don't get it right they will suffer desperately. So let's make a large communal effort to get it right!

Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

Last year, some of my works looked more than 10,000 times. I hope in the New 2020 we have this figure will be 100,000! I wish everyone to increase everything by 10 times! You never know where the path will lead you!

I like the potential that was 20 years ago in the first CCD cameras! Despite the simplicity, these tools outlived their later brethren! And not only in time ...

Ω, ω (name: omega, Greek ωμέγα) is the 24th letter of the Greek alphabet. In the system of the Greek alphabetical record of numbers, it has a numerical value of 800. From the letter “omega” originated the Cyrillic letter Ѡ, known as “from” and “omega”. In ancient Greek, omega meant a long sound [oː], while an omicron (ο) meant a brief [o]. The ancient Greek name "ὦ μέγα" means "" about "big" (o-mega) - as opposed to "small" about ", that is, the letter omicron. In modern Greek omega and omicron are read the same.

In a figurative sense, omega, as the last letter of the alphabet, often means the extreme limit, the end of something.

What am I doing this for?

I like this game and glide along the wave while waiting for the moment ...

What are the motives?

1Real: I live when I watch the process!

2 That sounds good:

Investing in yourself.

What skills should I develop?

Hone work style

Mastery of composition

How to do it

Own experience

Information (Books

Video)

Communication with like-minded people

How much time to spend

Communication is the key!

Goals and values.

Contempt for public values

Reliance on personal values (straight across Nietzsche)

How to identify them?

What makes me get up in the morning?

What is most important to me both in life and in business?

Liberty. New Horizons. Amazing world. New people.

What am I really aiming for?

All this as a filter of perception for ease of achieving the goal !!!!

It is important to do what I consider important and to do so until the goal is achieved!

Believe in yourself!

Never question your honesty. Say what I think!

Take your features and use them!

Hypothesis

In order for any science to budge, so that its expansion becomes more perfect, hypotheses are necessary in the same way as testimony of experience and observation. What the observer collected with accuracy and thoroughness, and the comparison in his mind somehow arranged, the philosopher unites all this with one point of view, connects it into one, and creates in this way the opportunity to examine and use everything. Let such a theory, such a hypothesis be only fiction, but it nevertheless brings enough benefit. She teaches us to see individual things in communication, distant things in the neighborhood. Only in this way do knowledge gaps become apparent. Known relationships are found that are not explained by them. This is what attracts attention, makes you trace those points that are the most interesting just because they reveal completely new sides. But most importantly, the hypothesis elevates the soul

and returns her elasticity, as if stolen from her by separate disparate data of experience. The hypothesis in the doctrine of nature is the same as in morality, belief in God, in all - the immortality of the soul. These sublime feelings combine everything that is generally good in a person, elevate him above himself and lead him beyond the point to which he would have come without these feelings. 1790 Goethe

.

1. Taking pictures a tool (camera), not a photographer.

2. The choice of tool limits the possibilities.

3. Experience allows him (instrument) less and less to limit their capabilities.

4. The ability to see is given only when the observer allows ...

5. The moment of observation is the real find ...

6. Training and mastering it defies. Training leads to poor imitations of the original.

7. Often the result should ripen, like wine. Although time is the understanding of the mind, therefore it is very speculative.

8. The meaning of all this is the process!

9. Let it be!

Originally built by the Nabataeans (not the Romans) more than 2000 years ago, the Theatre was chiselled out of rock, slicing through many caves and tombs in the process. It was enlarged by the Romans to hold about 8500 (around 30% of the population of Petra) soon after they arrived in 106 CE. Badly damaged by an earthquake in 363 CE, the Theatre was partially dismantled to build other structures but it remains a Petra highlight.

The seating area had an original capacity of about 3000 in 45 rows of seats, with three horizontal sections separated by two corridors. The orchestra section was carved from the rock, but the backdrop to the frons scaenae (stage, which is no longer intact) was constructed, as opposed to carved, in three storeys with frescoed niches and columns overlaid by marble. The performers entered through one of three entrances, the outlines of which are still partially visible.

To make room for the upper seating tiers, the Romans sliced through more tombs. Under the stage floor were storerooms and a slot through which a curtain could be lowered at the start of a performance. From near the slot, an almost-complete statue of Hercules was recovered.

With a backdrop worthy of a David Roberts canvas, the Theatre now offers a vantage point from which to watch a modern tragicomedy of the ill-costumed, cursing their high-heeled footwear; the ill-cast, yawning at tedious tour guides; and the ill-tempered – mainly in the form of irritable camels and their peevish owners.
