This is a further (probably final) post from a set of photos I took at Studland following a high tide and strong winds which resulted in hundreds of molluscs being thrown unceremoiously onto the beach with many creatures like this cockle desperate to open up and find firm ground to make their way back to the sea before being eaten by opportunistic gulls and others.
Thank you all for your kind responses.
Opening soon and will stay that way if we all behave ourselves. Not the Guggenheim necessarily but some of the other art museums out there.
Super Sunday to you.

As a child, spending summers by the sea, rock-pooling and beach-combing, I collected all manner of sea shells. Put the shell to your ear and you can hear the sea! I used to wonder what creatures had lived inside the shells, what mysteries were hidden inside those openings ;o)
For the second time in as many weeks, my unplanned arrival at a memorable location coincided with the first day of access of the season. In this case, Going-To-The-Sun Road in Glacier National Park was just opening on May 10th, and even then, only to the Avalanch Lake trailhead. This is the morning view across Lake McDonald from the eastern end.
You can visit my new Sim (a complete void...) here.

Flowers don’t worry about how they’re going to bloom. They just open up and turn toward the light and that makes them beautiful. – Jim Carrey

Happy Fence Friday! I didn't notice the foam under the poppy until I uploaded pic. I think a bug uses this to capture prey...don't remember what kind.

First light of the day enters this old beech forest through a small opening between the tree tops. This is not direct sunlight yet, I was there before the theoretical sunrise.
