These pink and purple tulips were growing on the grounds of the Provo Temple in mid-May. Usually all the tulip flowers have disappeared by this time of year, but we had a very late spring. The way the petals are wide open gives these flowers a very cartoonish look, like flowers drawn in a Dr. Seuss book.

Horse-chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum) buds bursting open – sure sign we're transitioning from the earliest part of spring (aka pre-spring) to early spring.

An open mouth can mean many things. Is it giving a warning? Perhaps a playful mouthing to another nearby bear or is this a simple yawn on a lazy day? What are your thoughts on this one?
While it's so thrilling to get direct eye contact with some action in an image, it doesn't have to be that way. Sometimes I can't resist a more candid shot of a bear just being a bear, for not every moment is an action moment. Sometimes they just hang out.
No matter what the bears are doing, I can't seem to get enough of them. :-)

Huddersfield Open Market was opened in the 1880's as the towns wholesale fruit and vegetable market until 1979 when it was closed for re-furbishment.
Plans have been submitted for a 16.5 million revamp to become a combined market and events space.

Dharavi has a very tight knit potters community (Kumbharwada), so tight that they have open fired kiln right in the middle of their homes. As the pots get baked, potters are turning their wheels, moulding clay and getting ready with the next batch.

The gronk was parking nicely outside the depot. Even more handy was the entering car and slowish closing gates offering a clear view.

Haven't been around much for the last few months between breaking my ankle and dealing with some family medical issues. Ankle is still healing, but I was fortunate enough to have a week long visit with my best friend this past week, so I took advantage of getting out to shoot some of my favorite scenes along with some new ones.
