Onions are so ridiculously cheap that it doesnt make economic sense to grow them. I know this but I do like to grow them every year anyway because I just like growing onions!
I have already got radar and japanese onion sets growing over winter in the polytunnel for next year

Yet another crisp packet cake, hand painted again - this was probably the trickiest one so far in relation to the drawing of it!! The onion on a bike was very tricky to draw to scale and the writing went a bit wrong on the banner above the 10p. But on the plus side the onion rings turned out really well (made from fondant).
I am wondering what type of crisps I may be asked to do next lol

Onion rock in Topanga Canyon. Any geology people know the proper name of this kind of rock? Googling didn’t get me much, surprisingly. When I was growing up there and hiking a lot, we always called it onion rock.
Using my iPad as the light source, I changed the background to purple, used the laundry room as a dark space, and turned off the flash. I was left with a purple red onion slice....or some nonsense like that.

Home made Onion Bread with a hint of garlic and a dash of creamy horseradish sauce. (Not sure about the garlic but the horseradish sauce gives it a lovely aftertaste). This was the first recipe, time to experiment with other variations now. Mouthwatering with your favourite soup.

The base for this tessellation is identical to one of the intermediate steps of folding my Lucky Star Tessellation (independently created after Haligami designed her Day and Night Tessellation which is the same thing) and seems to be something Tomek Siwak also came up with independently. Starting from the base, you just have to pop up the onion/bulb shape.
