Always remained a favourite but again it is not difficult and resulting like this was of course mirroring the smoke shot then inverting it. Simples....Sue :)
Tijdens de rondreis door Tsjechië was het weer goed genoeg om buiten te leven, voor de fotografie was het echter niet optimaal. Door de vele wolken bleek het risico op een ontbrekend zongat groot, waardoor meerdere autoritten van ruim een uur, achteraf voor niets bleken. Als de foto lukte dan waren de wolkenluchten vaak mooi. Zo ging het gelukkig goed toen CD 750 703 met SP 1402 onderweg was van Jeseník naar Zábřeh na Moravě en ter hoogte van Branna de eenzame fotograaf tevreden achter liet.
Op de broeierig hete dinsdag 11 augustus 2020 werd weer een dagje besteed aan het spotten van treinen. Deze keer was het animo om met meerdere personen te gaan spotten tot een minimum gedaald en zodoende ding ik die dag alleen op pad. Aangezien het in de auto beter uit te houden is dan buiten, werd een bezoek gebracht aan het verderop gelegen Bremen en omgeving. Er werden die dag vier stekken bezocht: Sagehorn (twee keer), Bremen Mahndorf en Langwedel.
Bij Langwedel werd de bekende stek vanaf het viaduct bezocht. Hier kwam de DBC 189 007-8 door met een containertrein in de richting Bremen. Gelukkig was ik bij de fraaie landelijke stek bij Sagehorn aardig tot rust gekomen en zodoende kon ik de herrie van alle voorbijrazende auto's bij Langwedel aardig weerstaan ;-). Soms kon ik door alle herrie op de weg de treinen in de verte niet horen en werd ik soms op het laatste moment verrast.
Helaas staan hier nu geluidsschermen langs het spoor. De weg waar in mijn beleving de meeste herrie vandaag kwam, ligt nog vrij in het landschap.
Vanuit Hulten waren er 3 opties om de SETG trein in te halen. De eerste optie, Griendtsveen, zou wat krap worden qua tijd, maar zou wel de stek zijn waar de trein alleen rond de langste dag goed voor de zon gefotografeerd kon worden. Bij Horst-Sevenum hadden zich inmiddels al meer dan 10 man verzameld, dus dat was niet echt een optie meer, en de stek bij Blerick is dan toch weer een stuk minder interessant dan Griendtsveen. De keuze viel dan ook op de eerste mogelijkheid.
Met dank aan Jeroen kon bijtijds de keuze gemaakt worden, hij was inmiddels op de stek aangekomen en wist ons te vertellen dat de begroeiing mee viel langs het spoor.
Enkele minuten na aankomst werd dan ook de groene neus van de Vectron zichtbaar, en even later kon de langzaam rijdende 193 728 van SETG met petroleumcokes trein 44701 voor de tweede keer deze ochtend gefotografeerd worden. Bijna zat er zelfs nog een derde klik op Nederlandse bodem in door een seinstoring, maar de trein kwam net te snel weer in beweging.

Sinds 2019 wordt de Dolimetrein gereden door het Belgische Lineas. Sinds 2021 wordt tussen Onnen en Sittard met TCS 1700'en gereden. Vaak rijdt de G2000 van IRP, die de lastmile naar Veendam verzorgd, in opzending meegenomen om zo kosten voor stalling te besparen. Zoals reeds bekend is stopt Lineas vanaf september met het huren van de TCS-locs en verdwijnen de Franse neusjes weer voor het Dolimevervoer.
Op 22 augustus 2023 was de Dolimetrein dusdanig te laat dat een foto in het noorden van het land in het avondzonnetje mogelijk was. Gezien het feit dat ik de Dolimetrein met deze tractievorm nog niet gefotografeerd had, was dit met het mooie weer één van de laatste mogelijkheden om de trein met neusje te fotograferen. Met een flinke vertraging passeert de 101003 met IRP G2000 2105 in opzending en 18 beladen Nedmag wagens van het type Taoos de twee fotografen in Tynaarlo met treinnummer 47628 vanuit Hermalle-sous-Huy naar Onnen en uiteindelijk Veendam.

I took this picture with OM-1 and Zuiko 135mm f3.5. I developed Acros pushing to 200 with HC-110, 1:100 dilution with 45 minutes. (These days I always follow this recipe.)

!! According to Hindu religious beliefs, Lord Shiva lives on Kailash mountain, but before going to Kailash there is another special mountain. Its name is Om Parvat (Om Parvat). Lord Shiva is considered to be existence on this too. This mountain exists on the border of India-Tibet. Surprisingly, this whole mountain has a naturally 'om' shape. This figure is formed from the snow falling here every year.
The elevation of Om Mountain is 6,191 meters above sea level (20,312 feet). According to Hindu beliefs, a total of 8 places in the Himalayas are the shape of Om, but till now only this place has been discovered.
Many mythological stories are connected to Om Parvat. People believe that being naturally Om on the mountain is a miracle from God. Come here where the beautiful shades of nature is seen. Right there, peace of mind is found spiritually.
Passengers here naturally hear the sound of om, but experts believe it could be the cause of snow falling on the mountain. When the first ray of the sun shines on the top of this mountain, the golden aura of the word starts shining.
Although this mountain has been located here for centuries, this mountain mass cognizance came in 1981. Explain that there are still many peaks in the Himalayan mountain range, where the gods and goddesses are considered to reside. !!
