I do love old things that are not perfect! The old table, the little bench and the watering can probably should be thrown out but I love them!! Thanks so much for your visits and have a good weekend!
Thanks to skeletelmess for the aged photo texture!

The old manse at Kilchrist, Isle of Skye. This was shot late morning with a very low sun, but still able to get a bit of light on the ruin.
Old Harry Rocks are three chalk formations, including a stack and a stump, located at Handfast Point, on the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset, southern England. They mark the most easterly point of the Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
There are various stories about the naming of the rocks. One legend says that the Devil also known as "Old Harry" had a sleep on the rocks. Another local legend says that the rocks were named after Harry Paye, the infamous Poole pirate, whose ship hid behind the rocks awaiting passing merchantmen.Yet another tale has it that a ninth-century Viking raid was thwarted by a storm, and that one of the drowned, Earl Harold, was turned into a pillar of chalk
This shot was taken on my boat journey back from Swanage to Poole on Tuesday evening.

Old Elbe Tunnel or St. Pauli Elbe Tunnel (German: Alter Elbtunnel colloquially or St. Pauli Elbtunnel officially), which opened in 1911, is a pedestrian and vehicle tunnel in Hamburg. The 426 m (1,398 ft) long tunnel was a technical sensation; 24 m (80 ft) beneath the surface, two 6 m (20 ft) diameter tubes connect central Hamburg with the docks and shipyards on the south side of the river Elbe. This was a big improvement for tens of thousands of workers in one of the busiest harbors in the world.
Six large lifts on either side of the tunnel carry pedestrians and vehicles to the bottom. The two tunnels are both still in operation, though due to their limited capacity by today's standards, other bridges and tunnels have been built and taken over most of the traffic.
In 2008 approximately 300,000 cars, 63,000 bicycles, and 700,000 pedestrians used the tunnel. The tunnel is opened 24 hours for pedestrians and bicycles; however, as of October 2023, the tunnel is closed to all motor vehicles

Even at 10:30pm Ghost Ranch is a busy place. There are a lot of cars coming and going to and from the living quarters as well as in and out of the ranch itself. Cars? Where would they be driving? Well, the low camera angle hides the driveway right behind the carriage, which tees into the main access to the ranch not far from where we had set up
The harsh light from their headlights shines on the old wagon from all angles. I was careful not to take shots of that, but when I assembled the image, I realized that the way I light-painted the scene simulated the way the headlights had illuminated it.
It was a glorious night and Greg and I sat under the stars waiting for the galactic core to show up between the two trees. For the earlier part of the evening that space was dominated by the constellation of Scorpio.
Initially I had envisioned a shot from a little further out, showing both trees with the galaxy and carriage in between. However, that was not possible because the ranch had put on display a small, equally antique seed spreader right in front of the vehicle. Any shot showing both trees would have had the seed spreader in it, complicating the composition, making for competing subjects. So we took all our strength and pulled it aside a bit so we could put our cameras in front of it. As with a lot of things in life, it was a compromise.

Back when I had a grandchild in the same time zone, I would make the six hour drive to Leavenworth, Kansas to visit her. This old church sitting abandoned and forgotten on the side of the highway always intrigued me and I stopped several times to walk around and peek in her windows, imagining all the events, both good and bad, that her walls remembered.
