Oh so busy! Yesterday just left me numb. It started at 5:00 am and never slowed down until about 7:00 pm. I think I talked the entire time. I won't go into details - but I figure I had conversations with about 225 people before the day was over. I realize that's probably not unusual for some people. Glad I don't have to do that everyday!

So what's on my mind? My profile, which I've never thought was my best side. Just the way my face is put together makes me look snooty from the side, or so I've been told - but I have to agree. Unfortunately, about 4-8 students see this angle for most of their time with me. I'm looking right now so I can remember to turn my head around to face them more often.

Also, lately I've been thinking about facial expressions and the effect they have on people. I am trying to be more aware of the "face" I am wearing. Does it say, for instance, "Ah hah! I knew you wouldn't have your homework?"

Just a thought.

Sorry to post and run, but I'll catch up tonight. After yesterday - today will feel like a piece of cake! Ohw! That sounds pretty good! Cake!

See ya later!

I JUST WANT YOU CLOSE

WHERE YOU CAN STAY FOREVER

YOU CAN BE SURE

THAT IT WILL ONLY GET BETTER

YOU AND ME TOGETHER

THROUGH THE DAYS AND NIGHTS

I DONT WORRY CUZ

EVERYTHINGS GOING TO BE ALRIGHT

PEOPLE KEEP TALKING THEY CAN SAY WHAT THEY LIKE

BUT ALL I KNOW IS EVERYTHINGS GOING TO BE ALRIGHT

NO ONE, NO ONE, NO ONE

CAN GET IN THE WAY OF WHAT IM FEELING

NO ONE, NO ONE, NO ONE

CAN GET IN THE WAY OF WHAT I FEEL FOR YOU, YOU, YOU

CAN GET IN THE WAY OF WHAT I FEEL FOR YOU

WHEN THE RAIN IS POURING DOWN

AND MY HEART IS HURTING

YOU WILL ALWAYS BE AROUND

THIS I KNOW FOR CERTAIN

At Sydney Town Hall!

With thanks to a friend (he knows who he is) and against a backdrop of St Andrew's Anglican Cathedral and Sydney Town Hall, my pictures show light rail coming to life! For the most part the barriers towards the Quay have come down. Town Hall stop takes shape and finishing work is being undertaken at the APS/OHW transfer point. Meantime Bathurst Street intersection tracks are complete and stretch all the way down the hill to Chinatown and Rawson Place.

Described as tenacious, invasive and even a weed, I was over the moon to find OHW growing locally! Hopefully it will continue to 'invade' at this brownfield site and add its touch of beauty and amazing textures within the wildflower tapestry.

Quite a number of REs arrived from Bristol Omnibus in 1983, ranging in age from F to K plates, but all were gone within a few months, except for two of the oldest flat-screen RELLs, which went on to give around 5 years' service here.

Wanted that for a little while...

Among the numerous car park shuttle buses that populate Stansted Airport, services also run between the terminal to the many hotels scattered around the site.

'MARMITE ANYONE'.

In early summer I came across a small patch of Orange Hawk Weed plants. Their vibrant orange and yellow flowers looked stunning. I was thrilled by the discovery, as OHW is one of my all time favourite wildflowers. Although described as common, I never get to see much of it when I’m out and about. I love the cheerful flowers and significant hairiness of the plants themselves.

A fresh breeze scuppered any chance of achieving detailed close-ups as the flowers were constantly dancing and swaying in every direction.

I am quite pleased with the sense of movement captured in this image - though it's probably a bit of a Marmite shot and not to everyone’s taste.

Secret Beach, also called Makena Cove is one of the most photographed beaches on Maui. Funny considering its one of the smallest. A very cozy beach, you will feel like you are in a postcard.

And if you think this tiny little beach sounds and looks idylic than you are right. But at the time i took this image 6 weddings were going on at once!!! With other words, getting married on Maui barefoot in the sand means more or less that you end up here, on Secret Beach.

When i arrived here i had a very hard time to find and stay at "my" spot! I had lots of shots with people walking in front of the lens (how can you become mad at someone who just got married?) and could delete almost all images. This is one of the few that came out right.

A few days later i returned here at 5:30 before sunrise, no one there, what a treat ;-)

Enjoy...
