Hello my amazing Flickr friends !!
Today is a green day at Color My World Daily and I’m celebrating autumn.
So this is my inspiration for this picture. And of course, my obsession with leaves is still there and stronger than ever lol I almost had to fight with a squirrel to get the most beautiful leaves from my backyard ! Can you imagine that ? This squirrel thinks that it can get all the leaves he or she ( I can’t tell the difference between a girl squirrel or a boy squirrel lol but since it is a family friendly Photostream just lets not investigate this question any further lol) wants ! Well, get that squirrel: you are not alone collecting leaves in this neighborhood !

Today is a red day at Color my World Daily and the theme at Macro Mondays is Matchstick.
My fascination with burnt matchsticks isn’t new. Dont you think that there is something nostalgic or even sad about burnt matchsticks ? Maybe it is the gray/black color… or the feel of the irrevocable end ... or the burnt tree (even if it is very small and thin, I can’t help myself but I see a burnt tree …). There is something lonely and sad in a burnt match. How come something so small can have this huge melancholic feel to it, I don’t know. That is the beauty of small things around us...But after this challenge, I have a new photographic obsession : matchsticks ! Don’t worry it is only a photographic obsession, I’m not planing on burning anything !!
But since we are Monday, I have to go and join my video meeting since my first obsession is (not) cartography lol !!

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !!
Today is a pink or purple day at Color my World Daily. The theme at Smile on Saturday is autumn joy. And since we all know, by now, how addicted I can be to one particular prop, I decided to go along with my obsessions and take a picture of my two favorite things (at least for now…): leaves and an egg.
So my autumn joy is eating eggs and watching leaves fall…After all, joy is often in small things of life.
So have a great day my friends ! And since it is very warm and beautiful in Montreal right now, I will rack some leaves, just after eating my eggs. See you later !

I find these strange butterflies so fascinating that I have become quite obsessed with them ! As they are coming in great number this year, I continuously try to improve my skills at capturing them neatly in flight... which is not really easy :))

There is something just so lonely to me about marshland, this in-between place, as if nothing ever finds its rest there, everything constantly shifting.
Whenever I have driven through this place, across the Pevensey Levels, and I have stopped and taken photographs and stood looking at the marshes, I am aware that I am never alone. There is an overwhelming feeling of being watched or followed.
It has always been an awareness that I cannot seem to shake off, and the twisting road across the levels only increases this feeling as it turns back on itself seeking the higher ground through the marsh. I thought that a sunny day might help to dissipate this feeling, rather than being in the mist or rain, but strangely it was even more oppressive, in the warm, sometimes windy conditions on this day in late May.

I've long had an obsession with photographing fences and recently have acquired one for minimalist images. Using Sliders was really key to stripping this shot down.

Directly across the water is Barangaroo Wharf 1 and Barangaroo Wharf 2 (where the Rivercat docks). If you zoom in you can see the two wharves. Beyond the wharves is the Barangaroo retail precinct, as well as residential harbourside apartments.

We have a hanging basket that in the summertime is filled with flowers. It sits in the branches of a tree and in the winter when the flowers have died back the leaves from nearby trees can accumulate. I noticed this one particular leaf about 10 days ago and ever since then I've become obsessed with shooting it as I just LOVE that leathery look it has. I've since shot it with at least 4 different vintage lenses and out of all those shots I think this is my favourite.
