A feature of the 2012 London Olympics, the O2 Arena sits elegantly beside the River Thames on the Greenwich Peninsula, London.

Another very clean O2 - No.16 Ventnor arrives bunker first at Ryde Pier Head Stn. 24/4/65.

So these are some photos from my trip to London where I went to see an NBA game, the Brooklyn Nets, Vs Atlanta Hawks. I was such an amazing experience and while sight seeing I grabbed a few shots! Hope you like them.

Tim and I stopped for lunch at the friendly Square Pie restaurant. Tim chose steak and kidney pie and having had a good breakfast, I chose cottage pie, and I thought that would be lighter! The guys behind the counter suggested their fabulous beers, but we resisted and chose Coca-Colas instead!

Arrived at the O2 to see Depeche Mode

A few final shots from the O2 area, London. This ride looks so much fun - maybe one day I'll get to go on it! The cable cars look very much like the pods on the Brighton Wheel!

I've always been curious to know what it's like inside the O2 London, so I was keen to get some photos!

We walked about a third of the way round - as far as we were able to go - and passed plenty of restaurants. At this point we didn't know which to choose for lunch, but we ended up here, at Square Pie. We'd never heard of it before, and wanted to try something different.

I had set out to photograph the full moon rise over The O2 on this night, as you can see my calculations were slightly amiss so I ended up with this unusual panoramic composition which I have grown to like.

You can see the construction of the O2 Hotel on the left, there are many more developments planned for the centre of this landscape including a giant moon clock to the right of The O2.

Originally constructed by the government for the Year 2000 celebrations the Millenium Dome was eventually redeveloped as an entertainement complex and re-branded as the O2 Arena in 2007.

Seating 20,000 people it is the busiest concert venue in the world.

The architect was Richard Rogers.

Been playing with a old image taken almost a year ago but the reflections were never there, these were what i created in photoshop, not the best picture but easy little technique but may come in handy.

On the last day of steam on the Isle of Wight, Saturday 31 December 1966, O2 W27 Merstone waits to leave Ryde Esplanade Station with a train to Shanklin.

A welcome half day break from the office today allowed the Mrs and me to take a river trip up to the Thames Barrier, and the chance to see the O2 from the outside, having been there to see Neil Young last week.

Seen from Oberbaum bridge in Berlin, Germany.

O2 as seen from the second stop on tonight's pub crawl with Drew Gardner.

Students in SPR’s Outdoor Opportunities program (O2) get up close and personal with residents of the Leavenworth Reindeer Farm on a recent trip to the mountains.

Another train ex Ventnor (this time I had crossed the tracks) is hauled by No.21 Sandown at Smallbrook Junction on 24/4/65.

I was at the O2 Arena in London on Saturday singing with approx 15,000 members of Rock Choir. It was such an amazing experience to have that number of people all singing in harmony. I couldn't resist taking a few shots of the buildings around the O2 site before we went in.

The O2 Arena at night, there were only a few people around however i used a 10 second exposure and the people simply disappear.
