FLUFFY . . the name given to me
I cannot think why
but someone was kind
and looked into my eyes
I looked into theirs
and what a surprise
they saw a softness
deep inside . . .
but, that comes
as no surprise :-)
my feathers are soft
fine cushions would make
but oh my for goodness sake
I'm an OWL oh yes I am
soft for a moment and
oh dear then !
if I'm hungry as often I am
I will catch you and eat you
as quick as I can !!!

.... it's unusual for a female
to be a football referee . . .
I noticed quite a few guys
looking at me . . .
I heard them say that I looked so good,
what a fab referee for the coming matches
I'd be . . .
I never blinked an eye
nor did I look their way
I thought I'd wait my moment
and then I would say . . .
I'd rather be a model . .
believe me it's true
I'd fall asleep watching the games
I'd not make a good referee :-)
the pay is better too it has to be said
you can say what you like . . .

Subali, the Asiatic lion of the Nuremberg zoo was put to sleep in August. Subali was born in Edinburgh in 2006.

Dieses Bild machte ich am 11. Mai 08 im Nürnberger Tiergarten. Es war ein richtiger Schnappschuss. Die beiden Flamingos auf ein Bild zu bringen, war besonders schwierig. This image I made on 11 May 08 in Nuremberg Zoo. It was a good snapshot. The two Flamingos on a picture to bring, was particularly difficult. هذه الصورة التي ذكرتها في نورمبرغ 08 حديقة الحيوان يوم 11 مايو. لقد كانت الصورة جيدة. وكان اثنان flamingos على الصورة التي تجلب, كان صعبا للغاية.

This image actually stunned me, even though I know, they do need to eat, and normally get fed by the people...this one captured a bird on its own.....
I don't think this is what 'they' meant with Birds of Prey...but this was the first thing that came to my mind...

Fast 1 Stunde drehte der Schneeleopard seine Runden, und es war kaum möglich ihn vor der Linse zu bekommen. Dann hatte ich Glück und er ruhte sich im Gras aus, so dass ich in Ruhe meine Aufnahme machen konnte. Die Aufnahme machte ich im Nürnberger Zoo. Viel Spaß beim betrachten.
Nearly 1 hours turning the snow leopard his rounds, and it was almost impossible to get him in front of the lens. Then I got lucky and he rested in the grass, so that I could do to calm my photography. The photograph I made in the Nuremberg Zoo. Have fun look.
