Lydd-on-Sea is a modern village, mostly built after World War II, which consists mainly of bungalows built along the Dungeness coastal road south of Greatstone, Kent, England. The Southern Railway opened a railway station here in 1937 but was closed in 1967. Lydd-on-Sea is part of the ecclesiastical parish of Lydd, now several miles distant, which once had access to the sea.
An island in a lake (created by gravel extraction) slightly to the northwest of Lydd-on-Sea is the site of a collection of sound mirrors designed by Dr William Sansome Tucker, to detect the approach of enemy aircraft, in the years before radar had been developed.
A series of images from the 60s and 70s shot on Kodachrome. These slides were destined for the bin after a friend's father passed and I've kept them. I don't know any of the people in them but the images evoke a real sense of familiarity.
On Kartik Purnima, Deep Malika is performed in the evening where devotees float lamps in the sacred lake as part of the ritual. Offerings consisting of sugar drops, coconut and dry fruits are given at the temple.

Checking out the new mall and watching movie
ABOUT:
There's this mall which considered a new mall since it only opened a few months back, and we hadn't visited it. So today we decide to visit it and watch a movie while we're there.
I picked up a simple black and blue outfit today, yes I'm color coordinated freak like that ;)
And sorry for the no make-up and huge zits look, sometimes I did my make up in the car when I'm in a hurry ;p and we were already late for the movie ^o^
