The members of CEA-Retired (CEA-R) held and hosted a dedication service on Wednesday, Oct. 20 at STRS Discovery Park to commemorate the life and service of the late John Grossman. He was the longtime President of CEA as well as a former South HS educator and dedicated Association leader. Grossman died unexpectedly on July 28, 2008.
CEA-R President Judy Valentine spoke, along with CEA President Rhonda Johnson, and CEA Chief Negotiator Rick Logan. Vice-President Sally Oldham shared thoughts that members had sent to her via e-mail. The service included a performance of "I Hear A Symphony" by South HS student Jennifer Moore. The CEA-R Notes closed the program with their performance of "Make A Difference".

Field Note: iPhone 4s, 1/1000s, f /2.4, ISO 50
Zion is a place full of wonder and surprises, but not necessary a place easy to photograph. It is because the narrow valley and the high rising mountains are so closely along the sides. This makes finding good light extremely challenging during the day. But when you do, it is a blessing from above. After three days of intensive shooting, I really did not feel to do any serious photography. I did not bring my camera. Instead, I brought a book, a bottle of water and my iPhone. The plan was to take a walk along the riverside and enjoy the beautiful morning. I spotted this scene when I about to sit down and start my reading. I just couldn’t resist to take a few snaps with my iPhone. I was quite surprised when I looked this image on the monitor after I returned to home. I then made a few test prints to confirm the quality of this image. To my pleasantly surprise, I was extremely happy! I guess when everything falls into place; camera doesn't really matter, or does it?
This photo is for a blog post written by my brother in his quest to
fin white sticky notes www.unlikelymoose.com/blog/comments/1564_0_1_0_C/
I was taking a walk tonight, thinking about my little brother and some problems he's been having, when I came across this. It's a last note to a little brother gone forever.
An old pharmacy bottle, with a happy birthday note in it, and an empty (i think!) box from Linens & Things
This is the notebook I received from my secret swap partner (EdyB1). Love it to bits and in my favourite colour pink too.
Thankyou so much.
