Jawbone reserve, Williamstown.

The sea is rarely this rough on Port Phillip Bay, so this was a good chance to have a go at capturing surf close to home. I had full (but cloudy) daylight so I used the the ND (x8) filter I have to get some flow into the water.

I really like the motion I got in this and wanted to upload it, but wasn't happy with the composition. I tried cropping and re-cropping, but then gave up and uploaded the whole thing anyway.

Oh, another flaw is the white blob on the right halfway up is due to a scratch I have since found on the filter. Fortunately, it gets a bit lost in the surf.

(I have barely used the filter and now I will be throwing it away. Note to self: I must look after my gear better.)
