Olympus digital camera The new flagship of the revitalized famous and notworthy Pen series of small high quality cameras with legendary optics, the sensor in the OM5-EM3 is equal to the pro models by Nikon and Canon. This mirrorless, prismless retro styled after the legendary affordable OM series of the late 70's and early 80's. I used two OM-2's during that time and they were a joy to use and carry.Their F1.4 50mm lens was so sharp few could tell it from the Leica equivalent. That camera was so quiet the the only 2 cameras allowed in events where was an absolute necessity, security allowed in photographers with Leica M3's and OM-2'sm and OM-4's. Those Oly's with only auto exposure,faded when Canon and Minolta introduced useflll autofocus cameras and the Oly faded from view. This new Pen flagship body is an engineering miracle featuring all the fancy high speed electronics of Nikon and Canon pro models costing 2.5 to 3x the price and a revolutionary 5-axis IS system built into the body, which is like a "drug of youth" to old guys like me. I am 65 and have a benign tremor and crippling arthritis. The IS enables me to hand hold a 600mm (35mm equivalent) tele at 1/15 sec with 50+% of very satisfactory images. Size and weight are half of the Canon 50D I used to lug around with a single all purpose zoom, which would give me a back ache after 30 minutes. With the IS in the body, the lenses are feather light and unbelievably small, making them ideal travel cams.

A local structural engineer's remarks, regarding the issues at this property here in Littleton, is that, due to the types of soil along the Front Range, moisture caused the soil to swell and exert significant pressures against the foundation. In this photo, The downspout water is directed underground and may not be carrying the water far enough away from the foundation. The other notworthy item in this photo is the gas meter. The next photo shows the after photo of the work done and the 7 inch lift to the house to get it plumb again.

A view out over the formal garden from a room on the top floor of the house. I thought it notworthy that the windows on all the upper floors were fitted with horizontal sliding sashes rather than casement windows.

One of Andy Goldsworthy's Hanging Trees, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, supplemented by art of unknown origin. There were lots of these - spooky faces painted onto A4 artboard, with a bit of occult stuff pasted on the back - distributed up Ogden Bank and around the Winter/Hörbelt Basket. I do like a bit of guerrilla art, but these really weren't very good.

The Buddhist Council Hall is the seat of the highest monk in all of Laos and the center of Buddhist administration. It is also used in certain Buddhist ceremonies, as well as to receive visiting religious dignitaries. It is a notworthy and grand building with traditional Lao motifs.
