While I was passing the other day and taking the photo, she invited me into her back garden. One of the gnomes that are on the bench had a terrible accident! The gardener ran over its foot with the lawn mower!
If you're wondering if it's me or the bench, it's the bench, it isn't straight!

Today was my birthday so I took the day off to go birding out at Pawnee National Grassland east of Fort Collins, CO. The birding was really slow, but I did find this former grange hall with magnificent peeling paint and great windows to reflect the sunset. As I marveled at the reflections in these prairie windows a red tailed hawk landed nearby. It's been a nice evening, hope you all are well.
A passer-by stares with astonishment at the church dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary Mother of God at Ropōto, Greece that does not stand straight but leans to one side.
This leaning occurred on April 12, 2012 because of repeated landslides.

I really love these windows in the 14th century Lower Brockhampton Farmhouse, a moated farm deep in the Herefordshire countryside.

I'm not sure about this at all. I took quite few shots on this night and they were either badly composed, badly exposed or, as in this case, I appear to be falling over when I took it. You can't trust the spirit levels on your tripod. Its best to look and see whether its actually straight.
Not HDR, as I couldn't be bothered, but there is obviously no small amount of processing involved.

Back to a few shots from Colgne Germany.
This is the train station, is was a cool structure, and very big. Only one small problem...since heat rise's, am not sure why the whole top center was open!! It was freezing!! Or maybe it was just me! lol
This shot made me crazy..no matter what way I turned it, it didn't look straight to me!
I really loved taken photo's in this station.

There are quite a lot of stone walls here on the Isle of Man most of them are fairly straight. This one isn't! I wonder how come it has so many bends and curves in it? What happened to the builder/s?
Week #9: in this week I took some really amazing shots during our visit to Venice for the carnival :))) As in the last week, all those shots are confidential, so continue to fill the public album of my project with a shot of an empty street in Venice ;-) ;-)

i uploaded this now for two reasons.
1. because i miss summer - it's a nice break from the snow shots.
2. to start putting my coney island pictures into the coney island days group and making a set.
coney island is one of my favorite places on earth. easy.
MacBook Air model A1237 from 2008 with an expanding battery (A1245) and the Applecare date has passed. This MBA would not sit straight on a table and you could see the lid askew. Due to the expanding battery other parts of the MBA were pushed out. It still works, but it doesn't look nice. I've requested a quote for a new battery.

Strobist: SB28 shot through an umbrella high camera left and daylight color balanced bulb be hind me for some rim action which didn't really work but it gave a cool effect.

There are three of these planters in a traffic island in front of the apartment building next door. They tickle my funny bone!
