We try to keep our birds well fed in the winter but some days the weather is so cold, snowy and windy they seem to stay in their nests. (Missouri's state bird -- the Eastern Blue Bird.)
''Every year 703 000 people take their own life and there are many more people who attempt suicide. Every suicide is a tragedy that affects families, communities and entire countries and has long-lasting effects on the people left behind. Suicide occurs throughout the lifespan and was the fourth leading cause of death among 15-29 year-olds globally in 2019.'' WHO
Remember you not alone.. talk.. seek help.. Each country have their help lines with brave people who are there to give support. There's much more to live and to experience.. there is no low that cannot find a road upward..
I know it hurts
It's hard to breathe sometimes
These nights are long
You've lost the will to fight
Is anybody out there?
Can you lead me to the light?
Is anybody out there?
Tell me it'll all be alright

Keel billed Toucan, (Ramphastos sulfuratus ), seen in the cloud forest of Costa Rica
The keel-billed toucan (Ramphastos sulfuratus), also known as sulfur-breasted toucan, keel toucan, or rainbow-billed toucan, is a colorful Latin American member of the toucan family. It is the national bird of Belize. The species is found in tropical jungles from southern Mexico to Colombia. It is an omnivorous forest bird that feeds on fruits, seeds, insects, invertebrates, lizards, snakes, and small birds and their eggs.
This is a photograph for the group Smile On Saturday. The theme for today is ‘blue as the main colour’. It’s to remember the ME/CFC and Fibromyalgia International Awareness Day on 12th May. We lost a much loved family member to ME/ CFS some years ago. We will never forget him. Hugs to my sister, who will read this. Hugs across the internet to Maria and to everyone living with this disease, and their families. Forget-me-nots in the rain this morning.
If imitation is a form of flattery, I hope my attempts to imitate are acceptable to our friend Patricia Meyer. These are all from Niagara County.
Forget-me-not flowers and a silver thimble that has been passed down to me through the ladies in my family, originally from my Great Grandmother.
In Englands Victorian times, silver thimbles were often gifted from a gentleman to his sweetheart which would be worn around the waist in a small pouch attached to a chain. The pouch would also contain a small pair of scissors and a needle case.

This photo aims to represent the fact that there are emotions that can’t be adequately expressed with language. The heart was made following origami instructions.
Esta foto intenta representar que hay emociones que no se pueden expresar con palabras. El corazón de papel fue hecho siguiendo los pasos de un tutorial de papiroflexia.

You're not alone, I'll wait till the end of time
Open your mind, surely it's plain to see
You're not alone, I'll wait till the end of time for you
Open your mind, surely it's time to be with me
I showed my wife this picture this evening and asked her what she thought of it, always a mistake I might add, and her words were "not on my wall". So of course that makes me like it even more! 😂

Images from my last trip to Morocco, the country I grew up in.
"True stability results when presumed order and presumed disorder are balanced. A truly stable system expects the unexpected, is prepared to be disrupted, waits to be transformed.”

Rya’s brows were knotted in thought as she caught back up to him. “D’ya t’ink t’ings will be different t’is year?” Her question came with a slight tip of her head. “At sc’ool, I mean.”
“Of course, Rya,” Kulaan stated with his normal confident air. “We are not First Years anymore. We practically run the dungeon now.”
He would say something like that, and Rya regarded him a moment before she placed her arm against his. “Aye. T’ha tis true.”
Not what Paul McCartney of The Beatles was thinking when he wrote the song in 1966. He likely didn't think it would still get airplay 54 years later either.

As we move into spring, the delightful beech copper displays are starting to disappear slowly. Soon to be replaced by new buds and heralding a change of colour in the woods. Taken on a misty morning at the start of March in The Hangings, Whiteleaf, Buckinghamshire.
I guess this little one interrupted Dad's naptime ha-ha. A little snarl to let the cub know to behave himself. Actually, this male lion was much more patient with this cub than most male lions. He even let the cub curl up next to him for a while. It was very rare to see such a tiny cub out with his dad at 2-3 weeks old. Females usually do not introduce cubs to the pride until around 6 weeks old. Mama lion was having a nap not far from them. Second photo in my Father's Day Series.
For the Flickr group Smile On Saturday. The theme is “full of memories”. The photograph is a forget-me-not in my garden, taken last week. The image is processed in SnapSeed. These flowers take me back to the place where I grew up. My Mum and Dad were keen but unconventional gardeners. At this time of year, the forget-me-nots ran riot, the garden was a haze of blue. My Mum and Dad just pulled them up when they were spent. It was glorious spectacle and I loved it. I haven’t got a haze of blue in my garden yet, but I am getting there.
Lyrics:
Great titles do nothing Beautiful slogans mean nothing Love is a sentimental hodgepodge Write, look, die, fight, then lose it We're familiar with battles and numbers We've got no chance to win alone This sick ambition up closle will turn any plan into ashes We're familiar with battles and numbers We've got no chance to win alone And it's not worth it anymore, we've become void There's an emptiness all around, maybe we'll fill it up We'll replace sweet lies with truth The emptiness will disappear, we'll fill it up together Out of breath The pulse quickens Out of breath The pulse quickens Great titles do nothing They'll not see their own pride The ego got lost in its thoughts, exits, profits Too much loss In love with numbers, drinks, exposed to another shot This sick ambition up closle will turn any plan into ashes We're familiar with battles and numbers We've got no chance to win alone And it's not worth it anymore, we've become void There's an emptiness all around, maybe we'll fill it up We'll replace sweet lies with truth The emptiness will disappear, we'll fill it up together And it's not worth it anymore, we've become void There's an emptiness all around, maybe we'll fill it up We'll replace sweet lies with truth The emptiness will disappear, we'll fill it up together Out of breath The pulse quickens Out of breath The pulse quickens
Not sure why but there appeared to be two suns shining through the Spring canopy the day I shot this one... Wishing a happy weekend to all Flickr friends :)
