But I am sure that spring will come this year too.
I had my Nikon resting on the picnic table and snake just slithered on by it and down the other side of the table.
A mulberry on our tree. We have already picked quite a few but a few remain still to ripen.
For the Macro Mondays theme: fruit. Width 2.5 in.
HMM and happy new week!
" We know full well there's just time
So is it wrong to toss this line?
If your heart was full of love
Could you give it up?
'Cause what about, what about angels?
They will come, they will go, make us special
Don't give me up
Don't give
Me up
How unfair, it's just our love
Found something real that's out of touch
But if you'd searched the whole wide world
Would you dare to let it go?
'Cause what about, what about angels?
They will come, they will go, make us special
Don't give me up
Don't give
Me up
'Cause what about, what about angels?
They will come, they will go, make us special
It's not, about not about angels, angels ... "

Honesty
.....the ONLY policy!!
Honesty (Lunaria) - in my garden and in my heart. With the latter, unlike the former, it doesn't just appear in spring, there are no stages, no tweaking, no compromises and no exceptions, it is a guiding Light, Take it or leave it.
In the times of inversion and great deceit in which we live, a world where lies are the accepted norm, from the very top down and throughout all media, then speaking the truth is considered a subversive act ..... or at least it soon will be.
It is an interesting contemplation that honesty and truth are not necessarily synonymous. Truth by definition is honest, but without honesty that which is true can be difficult to discern.
This flower also has lovely papery white seed pods that the sun shines through and illuminates in autumn.
This was taken in the city of York I liked the little bridge and the reflections.
Oddly enough I have no idea what the bridge is called nor do I recall exactly where I was in the city when I took the shot . Some of you will know York well I think this was taken somewhere near the Merchants Adventurers Hall . Its definitely not Venice
THANKS FOR YOUR VISITING BUT CAN I ASK YOU NOT TO FAVE AN IMAGE WITHOUT ALSO MAKING A COMMENT. MANY THANKS KEITH. ANYONE MAKING MULTIPLE FAVES WITHOUT COMMENTS WILL SIMPLY BE BLOCKED
Played around with the levels and introduced a little radial blurring to create this. One of the dodgy shots my 28-75 was producing all morning!

" You are not alone
I’ve been here the whole time singing you a song
I will carry you, I will carry you
I know you can’t remember how to shine
Your heart’s a bird without the wings to fly
Is anybody out there?
Can you take this weight of mine?
Is anybody out there?
Can you lead me to the light?
You are not alone
I’ve been here the whole time singing you a song
I will carry you, I will carry you... "

Mike is breaking up a beaver barracade using a rope and metal hooks. The beaver built this barracade but Mike broke it up because it was blocking the passage way for the kayakers.

Arches National Park in Moab, Utah is full of unique and photogenic geologic formations. Beyond the park's namesake formations, there are several reefs, buttes, balanced rocks, and otherworldly sights.
This rock. precariously balanced on a spire atop one of the reefs along the main park road is not, to my knowledge, a named formation, but it is approximately a half-mile from the three closely grouped spires known as the gossips. To my eye, this formation has the appearance of a proper, though somewhat stiff, woman looking off into the distance as if annoyed by the gossipy sisters down the road.
The second park I visited (though my day in Canyonlands National Park was photographically tangential at best) among Utah's vaunted Mighty 5 National Parks, Arches is the spot that spurred my interest in travel and landscape photography. If you get the opportunity to visit Moab, I absolutely recommend several days here.
Since 2 years now I moved away from Adobe Ransonware, I am wondering if I should go back. Sometime I feel On1 is not rendering image like LR/PS was doing. For now I save 16$ a month for 2 years. May be I should do a trial an see where LR/PS are now, I still can use ON1 as a addon.
Not sure if LR has now the luminosity mask like ON1.
but to meet you on a hill.

This tiny praying mantis was hanging out on the table outside at our friend’s house. To ensure his longevity I decided to move him to a safer place in the trees. When I put my hand out he happily walked on and of course photos had to be taken (which weren't entirely easy with only one hand available!).
I was blown away with his amazing movements which were also rather entertaining. He started on a walk up my arm, stopping for a quick prayer then some crazy head twisting. I’m pretty sure it turned 180° for cleaning (I think) or maybe he just enjoy contorting his body! In one photo he is barely recognisable as a praying mantis.
When I went to put him on a tree he wasn't terribly happy to go. After I had encouraged him to get on the plant he stretched out towards me almost like he didn’t want me to go. So I put my hand out again and what do you know he leapt back onto me. I had a new friend! And I found out that praying mantis can jump.
Eventually I had to socialise with humans so found another tree and encouraged him to alight again then wished him a fond farewell. Feeling uplifted by the experience.
Not the best time of year to visit the Fairy Pools. This reflection was the best light I could get on any of my shots. The majority of the shots including the usual vista were rather flat as everything was in shadows all day.
What speaks most against visiting these pools during that time of year was the way there. I was more lucky than anything else that I didn't end up off the road as others I passed. The passing places were so deep in snow that you just had to push through at speed and hope for the best. Esprecially you had to hope that you encountered other cars only at a passing place when heading up.
