IJMUIDEN / VELSEN NOORD (Neth.) – Tata Steel IJmuiden is a Steel Plant in IJmuiden and Velsen-Noord, Netherlands. Tata Steel IJmuiden was formerly known as Koninklijke Nederlandse Hoogovens en Staalfabrieken (KNHS) until 1996 (informally Hoogovens), and then Koninklijke Hoogovens Steel Factories, IJmuiden, The Netherlands.
Deze grote, houten palen bakenen de zone af waar de rivier IJzer in de zee uitmondt. Dit is zowel natuurgebied als militair domein, dat soms wordt afgesloten voor publiek. Bij vloed verdwijnen de meeste palen onder water.

We used today to dive into the history of the Danish West Coast visiting the Tirpitz Museum in Blavand as well as the open air museum of Nymindegab. I can highly recommend both locations for people who love to learn more about the life of our ancestors in previous centuries. Nymindegab, Jylland, Denmark
Forecast looked good so we decided to try Steetley. On the way the weather app changed and the forecast didn't look so great.
After a fair amount of deliberating if we should try Flamborough or Scarborough we finally decided to stick with the original plan.
What a fantastic place. It will be a sad loss to this coastline once it's gone. The cemetery above the beach has to be the creepiest graveyard I've ever seen!
