Dramatic Svodufoss waterfall with water of river Laxa dropping ten meters is located in Olafsvik Snaefellsnes which is peninsula in Western Iceland. Here photographed in early October 2019.

Seljalandsfoss, an impressive waterfall in southern Iceland that drops ~60 metres. It is part of the Seljalands River fed by the nearby Eyjafjallajökull ice cap. This shot was taken out of a cave behind the waterfall.

Station Nord is a Danish military and scientific station in far northeastern Greenland. The sled dogs belong to the Sirius Patrol, a unit that travels and keeps a watch on the vast area of the Northeast Greenland National Park.

While coastal Greenland offers many dramatic and exciting sceneries, the interior of the ice sheet is the ultimate contrast: a flat snow surface from horizon to horizon, like the middle of the ocean.

Westward afternoon view over Lake Mälaren in Stockholm, Sweden. This elongated and branched lake was once a bay of the Baltic Sea, but land uplift after the last ice age gradually turned it to Sweden's third-largest freshwater lake that it is today.
