The pierogies and I make the annual trip to Pennsylvania! Had to work most of the day today, and a call for snow made the later flight frightful. At the intimate Portland jetport, I mingle with Patrick, flying to New Jersey, and JJ, flying to New York. They both had delayed flights... I commiserate, but my flight's a go! Mom and dad are late for the pickup, an hour's drive to the homestead, mom's got the butter and onions ready (yay!). I boil the pierogies, I wrap Izzy's present, I change my clothes. Arrive with pierogies in hand at Sally's around 8:30 - a whirlwind, yes, but the gang's all here (all but Jenn...), and it's tradition after all. Oh, the crab legs are a delight! Prince and I have seconds and thirds. Izzy has become a talker! "What is your favorite color?, and please tell me your name!" "My nana just turned 50!" Jen and I devour mounds of cookies in the wee hours. Mango margaritas. Christmas, go!
