Sometimes it’s the Littlest of Things that Make You Happy
After a rainy day, I just can't resist heading out to hunt for mushrooms. What can I say? I guess I'm just a bit old and wonderfully crazy!

... Moments will soon pass, and you will wish you had treasured them more.
This little succulent plant was given to me several years ago by my mother, who was in her late 80’s at the time.
I didn’t want to hurt my mother's feelings, so I humored her by putting it in a pot and sticking the pot in a remote corner of my back yard. I figured the plant would die shortly and I wouldn’t need to care for it any longer.
As with many of the things I have taken for granted in my life, turned out that my Mother was the one to die, not the little plant. I've learned to appreciate life as it happens.

Cloudy skies and a gentle drizzle kept me close to home today, but my garden offered a bright spot: a geranium, just beginning to bud. The sight sparked a memory, and soon Karen Carpenter's voice filled my ears with "We've Only Just Begun" as I worked on this photo.
🎶 Before the rising sun, we fly
So many roads to choose
We'll start out walking and learn to run. And yes, we've just begun 🎶

Geraniums:
Want to add a splash of happy to your life? Geraniums are your answer. These guys are bursting with bold, beautiful blooms in all sorts of colors, and they're super easy to care for. Just pop them in a sunny spot, give them a little water, and watch them thrive, whether it's on a windowsill, patio, or hanging basket!

My Brother-in-law passed-on last night, leaving us after 82 years. The Mrs. is back home, and life goes on.

So much to make me happy in this photo. A fun photo workshop last Sunday where I was able to try out a modern Nikon camera (Z6iii) and good lens, make some new friends and meet this cute Capybara at the Wildlife HQ, Sunshine Coast Queensland.
NB the first photo was replaced with this similar pic in order to meet the requirements for the Crazy Tuesday rules

Another day of staying inside… out of the smoke, ash, and heat. Southern California... the home of fires, earthquakes and skyhigh Insurance 😎

Picked up some pretty baby pink carnations. They almost look like mini roses.

La Fuentona is a natural spring that gives rise to the source of the Abión River, in the province of Soria (Castilla y León, Spain).
In the center of the image we can see some beautiful trout, thanks to the high transparency of the water.
The entire spring and its natural surroundings were declared a Natural Monument on November 12, 1998. It is located in the municipalities of Cabrejas del Pinar and Muriel de la Fuente (Soria).
Deep within the lagoon is an entrance to an underground cave, part of which is below water level, but which subsequently rises above water level, forming a magnificent cavern the size of a large church.
It is especially attractive for cave diving.
Numerous expeditions have descended to various depths, one of them even 115 meters below the level of the spring.
The end of the cave is submerged again, and it is believed that a significant portion remains unexplored.
Entering the cave, even with scuba diving equipment, is prohibited without permission from the authority controlling access. (Source: Wikipedia)

(Fuente: Wikipedia)
